8/15 Highlights: Neil steals the show ; Bebe has second thoughts

Loved tonight's episode, Prakash continues to be a much loved character. I love the way he made Avni feel accepted and blessed her. My heart broke for Avni when Bebe and Shweta refused to give their blessings, well not so much Bebe because at least she did not move away but Shweta was so rude! You could see Neil felt for Avni too but at the same time he is hurt because he believes Avni will never return home.

Neil and Avni's scene was everything I wanted it to be, Avni trying to explain the reason she fears coming back is because she doesn't want Neil to have to choose. Neil tried to talk sense into her, this is no way to live her life. Neil's dialogues were just bang on in this scene. I really hope Avni takes Neil's words to heart, this is someone who understands her and wants to be her support but she needs to break those walls down.

If there was any doubt about Bebe's character given the rumors circulating I hope today's episode cleared that. I really liked seeing Bebe question if she was wrong to Avni. Neil handled Bebe beautifully, it would have been easy for him to tell her off but instead he allowed her to see his pain. It was heartbreaking when Neil said Avni won't return that this marriage was likely a dream not a reality. Neil is hurting without his love.


Another rumor was put to rest about Raghu, its none other than Guru Maa. I look forward to how Neil takes both her and Daya down.

I enjoyed the interactions between Neil and Avni today; they are both right in their own way. I've been reading a lot of criticism of Neil's character on social medi recently, with people describing him as being too passive. But he believes Avni does not wish to remain in this marriage, thus fighting for her with his family would be futile.

I wrote about Avni's emotional wall in my review yesterday, which you responded to on the EDT; I'm glad we're on the same page with this! Like you said, those walls need to break down completely before she can embrace her relationship with Neil with arms. Dayawanti referred to Neil as 'Avni's strength' in today's episode, which is very true - I don't usually agree with Dayawanti 😆

Showing your pain is sometimes more impactful than showing anger. Bebe has started to realise the value of Avni in Neil's life. It was nice to see her reflecting, and question whether what she did was right.

I found Sushant's (Amol) expressions very confusing in the police station scene. At times he was smirking with Dayawanti, then at other points it's as if he was shooting evils at his Daadi! 😆

Hi Juhi!!! I don't get the criticism for Neil's character, I love the way he is written. Neil reminds me of another male lead I loved so much, Zain from Beintehaa. These are male leads that are sensible and go about handling their family in a different manner than one would expect. Neil said what he had to say to Shweta and today he handled Bebe perfectly. One does not always have to show anger or be insulting to get their point across. I feel he's done a great job in supporting Avni while not standing against his family, this is what he is trying to get Avni to see that he does not have to choose but the poor girl is hellbent on punishing herself. Slowly though it seems Neela and Neil are having an affect on Avni, I like her insistence to pacify Neil especially in the next episode where she shows up wearing the dupatta that was wrapped around them by the kids. Avni's actions are expressing what words can't when it comes to her character.

LOL about Daya but she did speak the truth today. It makes sense why she would want Neil out of the picture so she could weaken Avni to the point of helplessness but it won't happen, she can try numerous times to kill Avni and Neil but she won't succeed.

Thank goodness I am not alone when it comes to Sushant's expressions! This is not the first time where I've wondered exactly what is going through Amol's mind, one minute you wonder could he really be playing a double game on his grandmother and others its like yup he is just as evil as Daya.

One thing I have realised after watching today's episode is that it has always been neil who has brought up about breaking their relationship. Not avni. A tubelight and emotionally vulnerable girl like avni would only read his words the way he says it, but wouldn't be able to read between the lines.

I get that he has had enough of the uncertainty surrounding the status of his relationship with avni, due to him being in love with her and wanting her to take their relationship seriously, so that's why out of frustration he asks her time and time again about separating and stuff, but from avni's point of view I can see that this very action of Neil only pushes avni further away from realising her feelings for Neil and wanting to stay with him. For all we know, she truly takes his words seriously and thinks that he wants to separate from her, given the nature of their marriage.

Avni herself has never said to neil that she thinks they should go their separate ways now, as it has always been Neil who has said it. Remember the scene after the temple sequence after daya was arrested and neil and avni have that scene in the bedroom? Neil was the one who said she is free to go wherever she wants, that too, after he accidentally heard that phone convo of ali and avni.

It's a pretty tricky situation, but here Neil really isn't doing avni any favours by constantly bringing up the separation thing. I'm glad though that avni is still trying to pacify and talk to him.

I've never actually written on this forum beforehand but couldnt resist today. I totally agree with what you have said about both Neil and Avni, they both have insecuruties about their relationship due to thing she THAT have happens in the past. Today's episode highlighted why Avni is hesitant on returning home and that it's valid for her to feel that way. the upcoming episodes are going to be interesting to see on how the upcoming track and their relationship pans out.
Also a little shoutout to Amol's expressions when taking about the bomb had me in fits of laughter which probably wasn't the intended emotion

Wonderful episode after a week

Actually if they had put a bit more effort carefully there in the scene where Neil comes to take Avni back home, these conflicts regarding AvNeil relationship wouldn't have happened...
There are so many justifications raised here in the forum to support Neil's behaviour, if they could put any of them in atleast Neil's monologue would have also worked...
