Suhana was involved in an accident and was hanging off a cliff with her baby son, Kamal. She passes the child to her husband Dev but then loses her grip on the cliff and falls down. She is presumed dead.
At the exact same time, Gitanjali has gone into labour and she and her husband are involved in an accident too. (I think it was the same accident) Her husband is killed outriht. Her baby dies too. (don't know whether it was stillborn or died afterwards)
Dev comes to know that his friend is dead. Gitanjali is overrought after hearing the news of her husband death. She is very quiet and is like a living dead body 9if that makes any sense)
Dev then decides to give his baby son to Gitanjali as she needed someone and as the baby mother was dead. (I don't understand his reasoning behind his decision but that is what took place)
He gives the baby to the doctor who knows everything and then walks away. He takes his daughter (from his first marriage) away from the country for the next 6 years.
He accidently meets Kamal all those years later and can't stop himself meeting him.
His mother gets him married to Gitanjali (she didn't wan to but her in-laws made her for the sake of her 'son'.
Suhana was alive but was in a coma. She came awake and went back to the house but found her husband married again. Mehak, Dev's daughter saw her and made her ocme back. Gitanjlai left and reverted to being a widow of her 1st husband and divorced Dev.
Suhana helped her sis-in-law who had probs with her in-laws who were poor. Her mother (Indu) took offense to that and is now preventing Suhana from being with her son by instigating Gitanjali against Suhana (who were once friends)
