Done, but in naming these I came up with a list of about 500 or so movies- that allowed me to revisit some classics that I hadn't thought about in quite a long time. I guess I am set for the next month or so...
The list is probably dominated by Sci-fi, as its my favourite genre. In my opinion there is nothing better to examine human condition, what we are, how we came t be and where are we headed; than a well done science fiction. Its nature is such that it lends itself effortlessly to the exploration of those themes.
Also I tried to keep it at one director per movie. I think Tarkovsky (3) and Kubrick (2) and Ozo (2) and Ford (2) are the only ones that repeat. Do tell me what you think...
