Done, but in naming these I came up with a list of about 500 or so movies- that allowed me to revisit some classics that I hadn't thought about in quite a long time. I guess I am set for the next month or so...

The list is probably dominated by Sci-fi, as its my favourite genre. In my opinion there is nothing better to examine human condition, what we are, how we came t be and where are we headed; than a well done science fiction. Its nature is such that it lends itself effortlessly to the exploration of those themes.

Also I tried to keep it at one director per movie. I think Tarkovsky (3) and Kubrick (2) and Ozo (2) and Ford (2) are the only ones that repeat. Do tell me what you think...

@bold -- I love your insight, Arsal.

In general also, your passion for cinema is inspiring :)

I have nothing to say, Arsal, you should say more you connoisseur of cinema! :) and please, do post the other 450 movies! 😳 but as far as my knowledge goes, that list is a collection of all movies where perhaps art of cinema has reached it's peaks 😃 I've bookmarked this topic :)
