Shivaay's sensors have been dusted and newly oiled, just starting to chug into action. A combination of some direct clues from OmRu, and that look in Annika's eyes, makes him feel like he's been missing something big in the house behind him.
He was thinking, and his mother walked in , full buster about "knowing" everything with her "third" (spying? Voyeuristic? peeping tom?) eye about everything in the house. He lazily indulged his mother's gossipping about Tej, until he popped a question out of the blue.
"What about Annika? What is it about her? What is she hiding? " Here his mom claims she knows all, and he was genuinely asking her. Seriously? No suspicion at all, Shivaay? I think you have poor vision dude, except for what's in flames in front of your nose. (Nice nose, at that..)
It's Pinky who gave it away by saying too much?
"Why? What about Annika? Did she say something?" came out so suddenly it surprised Shivaay. Mother who was showing off her prowess suddenly goes silent and nervous.
"You're still looking for reasons, you're too innocent. She was pretending all along, what you saw that day was her true nature. To trap you. Once she had you under her thumb, she started showing her true colors"
Whoa,whoa... Ghulam?? You can see he was a little surprised with the words Pinky used on Annika. Where did THAT come from? When was Shivaay ever Annika's ghulam?
"See, as soon as you divorced her, she went and caught another rich fellow, and using his money. You should stay away from these kinds of girls,right Shivaay? " The way she said it, was really suspicious. Like it had to be HIS decision to be rid of her. Or for it to seen that way.
"Do you understand what I'm saying son?"
non committal. "I've got work to do. I'm busy now." Nope , no more discussing Annika with mom. Mom still looks like the cat who stole all the milk and is hiding the tummy upset.
Bless Tia's kind reformed soul. She easily just spilled the beans without any guile.
"I'm so glad you guys are back together. I felt really bad that day, and now all the misunderstandings have been cleared, and you know the truth. Only Annika can take such a drastic big step like this. The truth must have been hard on you. And Annika loves you so much, and made such a big sacrifice for you."
Shivaay asks for details. Tia cleverly evades and leaves. But the effect is like someone changing the starter of a blinking and dim tubelight. Stark bright lights lit up in Shivaay's head. Suddenly all the puzzling phrases people have been saying around him made terrifying sense.
She made one mistake and you threw her out, Shivaay.
She may have had her reasons to do what she did, coercion or no other choice.
What do you mean, she's hiding something? Why, did Annika say something ?
People don't easily change drastically, unless something forces them to.
Thank God, misunderstanding have been cleared and you know the difficult truth. Annika loves you and she sacrificed so much for you.
That moment he realized he doesn't know something huge and everyone else does, made me feel so nervous, I can understand why he seems to relentless and impatient to know what it is. And why her silence is frustrating him so much.
His questions were direct and to the point.
"What are you doing? WHy did you do those things, that made me remove you from the house like that?"
"I know you did all that for a reason. I want to know the reason, Annika. Just say it."
Wow, suddenly he's very clear that she didn't want to say all those things. His mother's taunting had no effect on him, he wants the truth, a.s.a.p.
Annika also starts getting antsy and nervous, denying any such truth. He mentions Tia's name, asks what is the sacrifice or troublesome situation that made her do all that.
She shakes her head, refuses to acknowledge any of it. Tension filled face, she pleads, "Please don't trouble me with more problems?" and she evades him. It just made him more sure that she was in fact hiding something from him.
Her deepest fear is that he wouldn't be able to take the truth that she was blackmailed with. The truth of his birth. Which I am still in two minds about, because they are preparing us for an almost revelation under bhang (today) but essentially story goes on like he doesn't know.
I've always been suspicious that Pinky was fooled about Shivaay's birth also. It's bigger than than what Pinky knows. SOmething Shakti and Kameeni know. I am 85% convinced Kameeni is not Shivaay-Mahi's mother. Something else is hidden there.
So this truth that PInky holds over Annika's head like an axe may NOT be the truth after all. That's why I think this reunion people are talking about that's coming, is one that does not involve him finding out this truth. Because the truth may not be true at all. We'll see.
Shivaay is not deterred by her running. Now he's started to run after her. Pull her back when she evades. Insist. Now he observes her expressions like a hawk. He finds her the same woman he spent all those passionate moments with.
"Let my hand go, Shivaay."
"I told you before. I never held your hand with the intention to let go, Annika."
"But you did let go."
"I didn't . You let my hand go."
Yes, a hand clasp is two ways...
"Tell me what it was that forced your hand."
"Now, you ask? Three months later? "
"Yes, I'm asking now, at least I am now. Tell me. Now. "
"There's no point asking now."
"Why!?"
"Because you have Ragini in your life now."
"What about you? You got engaged right??"
My God, I'm pulling my hair out here. He knows she loves him and is stuck in a hard place, he can see how she can't meet his eyes and talk about this so called "Mangetar" of hers.
She feels there's no point in discussing the truth, when the consequences of her actions that day has succeeded in making him move on with another woman. What's the point of the truth now?
Pinky won, right?
"Not everything goes your way Shivaay."
"If I had my way, we won't be separated Annika !! In one day, you created such a huge chasm between us, it destroyed us !! I want to know WHY??"
Annika is in tears now, the conflict is real. She's really stuck in a hard place Shivaay. Tell truth and watch him shrivel and burn, not tell and watch him consume himself in anger.
Which to do? Both options are hard.
Not even denying the matter anymore, she puts her foot down.
"You know what I'm capable of Annika."
"Do whatever you want. I'm not going to tell you anything."
This scene continues tonight... i will post it in the next box as part 2..
