Will JHMS beat Raees?

Raees did exceptionally well considering it clashed with a massive film and still made what it made.

I think it will. I know that SRK's box office numbers haven't been terribly high but he's still Shahrukh Khan. He should be able to get at least into the 200 Cr range with a solo release.

I don't think JHMS really has a chance to beat Raees even if it's coming solo, and expecting it to cross 200 Crores is highly unrealistic. Imtiaz Ali movies only appeal in the urban-metro cities and high-end multiplexes. Also audience has got bored of this rom-com genre. It's not universal anymore.
Raees was a gangster masala movie which appealed to the single-screen audience and it's trailer also got a massive appreciation. JHMS trailer has got mixed response and it'll not work in single-screens.
TEPK buzz is very low right now but if the movie gets a good WOM, then it'll too give a tough completion to JHMS in the second week.
According to my prediction, JHMS lifetime collections will be around 120 Crores. JHMS can beat Raees only if TEPK turns out to be a bad movie and gets a bad WOM, which is highly unlikely. But then also, JHMS will beat Raees with a very small margin.
