Exactly... malgudi, dekh bhai dekh, hip hip hurray etc.. we at least had good variety before ekta came in picture...

^^ Exactly, shows had variety and realistic characters. Even soaps had logical storytelling. Ekta's shows were shiny toys that drew in viewers with dramatic acting, costuming and music but nothing of substance. They degrade within a month but once viewers are addicted, keep dragging the show with implausible storylines and screen flashes of 10 family members' reaction faces 😡 Ruined Indian TV.

her shows have been entertaining no doubt, it is just that one cannot watch it daily, i used to stop watching when stupid tracks came in any of her serials
