Is Ria Dr malhotra's daughter?

In the flashback Priya is shown to be a girl of atleast 5 yrs when she tells her mother that she loves her sari...so Vere must be maximum a year or 2 younger. Ria is only gayatris daughter from her first marriage. She is not even dr malhotras daughter.

Her character makes no sense to me at all. Why is her character even created If sanchi is going to love veer. Kabir is going to be all hers. Yes kabir is going to fall for saanchi, but saanchi will never fall for kabir. Then why this competition with sanchi. Cvs just love to add one new negative character every day.

Ria is his step daughter veer' mother died only 14 years ago. It's not possible for Malhotra to have another kid the same age as his son
