The Overseas market has fared worse than the Indian market this year with just two films going over $10 million and one was the dubbed Bahubali - The Conclusion. Raees despite being an action film that too not the gloss type stood tall due to the starpower of Shahrukh Khan. Tubelight was poor despite a Eid release, it did out perform in Gulf but business even there business was just about average. Gulf was probably best for the film compared to any other circuit be it India or Overseas.
There were four films that could be called hits in Overseas (Bahubali - The Conclusion, Raees, Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Hindi Medium ) while three can be called average (Kaabil, Jolly LLB 2 and Mom). There are probably just two more chances left for a $20 million film with Jab Harry Met Sejal and Tiger Zinda Hai and it would be a total disaster if neither reach.
