Neil impatiently tapped his foot as he waited for Avni. He had gifted her dress for the first time and he couldn't wait to see her in it.
"Avni, come out!
"No, I won't She replied from the washroom. She looked at the length of the dress awkwardly, but it was gifted by Neil and it was more than special for me. She looked at her mirror reflection and blushed.
"I'll break the door wifey, don't test my patience, Neil said and smirked. She grew nervous and she knew his level of impatience, That did the trick and the door flung open.
Neil stared at her, his eyes not leaving her face. He had got the most beautiful surprise till date as his eyes captured his wife staring awkwardly at the ground.
The white dressed hugged her curves elegantly as the off-shoulder neckline showed off her shoulders and the mangalsutra in her neck. The dress reached her knees and to Neil, Avni seemed like an innocent angel dressed to kill.
She felt herself burning under his intense gaze. The pink hues on her cheeks were making her conscience. "Stop ogling at me!She moved away from him, but he held her hand and pulled her closer to himself. He rested his arms on her shoulder, and she blushed.
Both breathed heavily against each other's lips and he slowly wrapped his arms around her waist as she placed her hands on his shoulder.
It had been a week since Avni was back to Khanna house but unfortunately for the two, Neil had to leave for Delhi on the same day and had returned the previous day. They missed each other like anything and even the video calls didn't help their desires to be together.
"Missed me? he asked and she nodded, staring at the ground. He smiled at her innocence and cupped her face. She looked up at him and smiled.
He leaned in closer to her but stopped when he noticed her trembling lips. He held her hand and kissed it. She just smiled.
"Thanks, Neil!
"For? He asked as he noticed that her breathing was slowly becoming normal. She just shook her head and hugged him. Neil smiled as he inhaled the fragrance of her shampoo.
He broke the hug and tucked a few strands that covered her face.
"I'll be with you always, you know that, right?
She kissed his palms.
"Whenever you kiss my palms, I fall in love with that eleven-year-old Avni,
"Tumne uss Avni ko zinda kiya hai Neil, thank you for that,
Before Neil knew it, Avni stood on her toes and gently placed her lips on his. He was taken aback for a few seconds but then he wrapped her arms around her waist and kissed her passionately.
