What is wrong with us yaar?
Kya ArShi Vs AdNi lagake rakhe hain?!
Do you really think anyone of us who is rooting for IPK3 have come here without watching or fawning for IPK1 (excluding a few) ?
We too, are die-hard fans of ArShi.
We wrote numerous articles, stories, discussions...we too have been a part of everything that included ArShi.
We still are.
Just because we are embracing AdNi with open hands, being excited and in support of IPK3, it doesn't mean we have forgotten ArShi, let alone hate or bash it.
Like seriously! Grow up! (or not)
It is a fictional world. A fictional soap.
But yes, it has become our second home of sorts.
IPK1 still resides in our hearts. We still use the one-liners, mannerisms and punches, We use them even today, like we did last year, or the year before, or five years back.
We still love ArShi just as much as we've loved them when the show was on air. If anything, our love all but kept increasing with time.
IPK1 still holds a very special place in our hearts - it shall forever.
And now, we are loving IPK3 too.
This is an altogether new journey. A new story line. An entirely new experience.
Just what the hell is the problem? I cant really understand why these threads keeps popping up, everyday, relentlessly.
See, I totally understand that everyone needn't like the show, let alone love. Its totally fine. Different people - different opinions - different choices.
But what I dont understand is when you dont like it even after you've given a fair chance, why the hell do you need to come back and post about the same in comparison with IPK1?
There are a few threads that give their honest opinions about IPK3, most of the times that borderline walk on negative review.
And that's fine.
Coz, they kinda compare it with social awareness and related stuff.
And that's okay.
When we've (most of us, including me) got into this show, the sole reason is Barun. And when we began following stuff about it, we've been told afore hand that it is not going to be a regular sanskaari love story. That Advay is an out and out dark, unapologetic, ruthless, non-sanskaari anti-hero, who would do things that might be socially unacceptable and wrong.
But, that this angst driven revenge seeking guy apparently has a real strong reason behind it - which is what intrigued us.
What was it that made Barun take up this role?
What is in Advay that the producers deemed that none other than Barun can justify, convince and sell?
Despite that being said, we have analysis threads that state how wrong Advay as a character is and how wrong Gul as a producer, Star Plus as a production house, and more so, how wrong we as the teenage girls are for seeing, awing and rooting for this show and more so for Advay.
And that is totally fine!
Coz not everyone needs to like everything.
And, they still are talking about IPK3. Just not exactly cheering for it.
But then, there are these heaps of posts that still keep popping up comparing IPK3 to IPK1.
Please dont give the same BG, same one-liners, same trip and fall shit is compelling us to compare.
Seriously?
How many songs and BGs have been repetitively used for heck lotta shows? Hell, we use heck load of bollywood numbers in soaps. Thab tho koi nahi ketha ki,
shit, I wanted to give a fair chance but that song just reminded me of the movie and I couldnt watch what was being showed in the soap! I really wanted to like this show but the song spoiled it coz I love the movie and all I could remember is the actors and their chemistry from the original song!
And the one-liners.
The same thing applies.
My boss uses goddammit, welcome to hell, unbelievable man. I use them. 10s of my colleagues use them. Yaar, these are the one liners that people use even in day to day lives.
So what if the same one-liners are used?
Give me two films where not a single dialogue is not overlapped? Kam se kam hai tho overlap hota hain na?
And the trip and fall!
Yaaron. That's they way romance is done on TV.
A gush of wind blows, the protagonists can sense their SO even before they look at them. They walk fine till they are in each other's vicinity and then trip and fall and are caught. They share an intense eye lock and stay there in that position till the freaking BG finishes.
They breathe labored, they corner the girl, they blush, they stammer, they keep walking back till they hit a wall.
It happens in every damned soap.
Given, I never watched anything apart IPK1, but I do switch my channels and I do find this same old tried and tested romance steps being telecasted every damned where, irrespective of the show and channel.
Wow. I ranted a lot. *me shakes my head*
Anyway, the bottom line is, you dont like the show, you dont like it. Its totally fine.
There are millions who love GOT and despite giving it a fair chance, I am not much a fan of it.
So, its totally okay.
But try not to make a post that you dont like it because you love IPK1 very very much and you are a true fan.
Sweeties, we, who are loving AdNi here, are not only true fans, but long past the stage of being the ACs too.
We will continue to love ArShi. But we shall also love AdNi.
We can love AdNi without forgetting or replacing ArShi.
ArShi ka jagah ArShi ka, AdNi ka AdNi ka.
So...yeah.

And try enjoying IPK3 coz Barun is slaying it like never before and Shivani is a total surprise package and she's really living up to her character.
And IPK3 is gonna be a real huge blockbuster.
Every damned award would land straight into IPK3's lap once it is considered for nominations (may be except the costumes and makeup, But welp, we can hope for the best.)
