"Tommy, take good care of yourself!", Cheered Ann, his owner cum Mom. "I'll be back in a blink, baby!", She snapped the car door and sped off. All that Tom could understand was he's all by himself without Mommy and that was great news for him (not for Jerry, of-course). No more restrictions, no more manners. Just pure fun & mouse hunting for a week.
"Here Tommy, have this Soup!", Souro was already there.
Souro : Tom's caretaker appointed by Ann, was here to stay.

He licked the bowl clean and after a 'good boy' pat from Souro, he busied himself in a book - 1001 ways to kill Mice.
Weary by the tiresome work (including burying your soft eyes into the hard book), he retired to sleep. He dreamt of Jerry but also of Souro, where they were playing beach ball. Souro, was a very responsible and sweet caretaker.

Next day, when Tom opened his eyes, he saw blurry images of big red things.
Wiping the mist clear, he saw huge bouquets of roses and large parcels of gifts being let in by a delivery man.
He quickly walked up to them and pulled out a card, which read : HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOURO, in big bold letters. Excitedly, he left the card back and got on his thinking and planning hat. It was his master's Birthday! Oh, it was a great day of fun and happiness. He wanted to do so much to see him happy, he was a sweet caretaker after-all.
But what could he do? He alone could definitely not manage everything and he needed an assistant. The neighbour's sky cat? Naah. The bull dog? No!
After overworking his brain, the only feasible, reliable & useful resource was : Jerry.
Tom had to give up his differences and take his help to execute something worth seeing.
Soon after, Souro could see them peacefully baking a good smelling cake in the oven. He smiled as he viewed them from a distance. What a delightful scene it was! Seeing the pair get along, he decided to go for a nice walk - something he'd missed out on since he'd become Tom's caretaker; as it was too risky leaving Tom alone with Jerry.

"My lovely little fluffs!", He exclaimed in joy.
The trio partied away into the night, eating, drinking and enjoying to the fullest. Thus the much eventful day ended in merriment.
Just when Souro had begun to think that Tom & Jerry made a happy pair and were no longer at loggerheads, his assumption was proved wrong. For, when he woke up the next morning, Jerry could be seen running on the cupboard while Tom chasing him, hanging from one mantle piece to other.

"Old habits and foes die hard", chuckled Souro as he got onto doing his daily chores. What was life without a tinch of fun and frolic?
