But this time, it seems to be PERMANENT.
All of Colors' shows have stupid to the point of being irrelevant storylines.
The cheap trp tactics of the channel to gain ratings like bride swaps and ML torturing the FL for his love towards her have been wearing off day by day.
Also, from Day 1 of this Channel, all the shows on this channel have a same theme.
Sometimes it's kid leads, some it's social issues, sometimes it's 2 female leads(preferably 2 sisters fighting against each other).
In fact, Colors was recently dissed in the social media for turning their channel into 'Andhvishwas' Channel for showing a number of supernatural shows .
And the new Animal Planet for introducing animal leads in many of their shows.
Well, all the shows of Star Plus are Saas Bahu, but their stories are different enough to not categorize the channel into categories like we can do for Colors.
And not just the similar type of serials, even the twists and tracks are similar.
Every Colors show has some specific twists like the aforementioned bride swap that HAPPENS in each and every show of the channel.
I know every channel should've their own signature style reflecting in their shows, but Colors have gone too far
All of their shows may ultimately have different storylines. But when you watch all of them in a stretch, it seems like the same serial with just a different outdoor set(indoor sets are all same) and a different cast when the plot twists and the pattern of the main characters are exactly the same as seen from the POV of a casual viewer who don't pay much attention to the story and/or not watching the show from the start.
Since in daily soaps, main concepts are lost pretty quickly, it's the characters and plot twists that help to grip the trp audience.
And when all the shows of a channel has 2 female leads getting swapped with each other at their double wedding, then people won't stay sticked to the channel to watch all the shows which are all same from the peripheral angle
They don't have the time to rack their brain on what is the difference between Udaan and Ek Shringaar Swabhimaan.
Also nowadays many of the FLs of Colors TV are hell bent on taking revenge on their sasurals.Too much aggression isn't good for your health.😆
Colors Tv needs a serious revamp and get rid of all the bride swapping drama and double female leads serials.
DSDT's slot swapping with Kasam would make worse for its future prospects
First of all, DSDT's lead in show Swabhimaan is a 2 female lead show
2nd, there is the infamous Ishqbaaz that people like grandmother can't get off even though it's shitty to even tolerate for 10 minutes, because the other alternatives are well...worse
3rd, DSDT had less competition in the 10:30pm.
But in 10 pm, apart from Ishqbaaz, there is this show called Woh Apna Sa.
Woh Apna Sa also has nearly the same story with 2 female leads and confused married man in the between, just replace surrogate motherhood with stepmotherhood.
In fact in that show too, the main FL of the show is a positive character who is actually the 3rd wheel in between the married couple.
But the shades of the characters are a little more defined and 1 of the FLs(the original wife) is clearly negative from day 1.
Kasam is already in the recycling bin, and DSDT will soon go there if they don't decide the intentions of Teni.
One moment, it's Teni-Aman, the other moment, it's Teni-Parth.
It's better to make Teni and Aman a couple because if they make Parth and her a couple, then it might backfire on the makers.
Because Shorvari is a positive character and her jodi with Parth has been accepted nicely also plus they are MARRIED.
People won't accept the forcing of Parth-Teni couple down their throats even if Jasmine and Siddharth have a good chemistry because Parth is a happily married guy.
Cvs will have to make Teni negative character for the sake of trps.
And even if this track helps to bring back trps for the show, it'll be a moral loss for the makers as they failed to highlight the exact social issue they wanted to talk about through this daily soap.
