wow...again, reading jk rowling's site, i was very pleasantly surprised to read how the Order of Phoenix communicated with one another. they used patronuses! did anyone know that? 😕

she said she mentioned in book 4 about it, but i didnt find anything about it.

Well, for those who were as clueless as me on it, she states that only the Order knows how to do it because Dumbledore taught them. Here are her reasons:

1. they are efficient because they are an anti-dark arts device

2. not hindered by physical barriers

3. each Patronus is unique to each wizard, so the Order knows who sent it, as well as no wizard can produce another wizard's patronus, so no false info can be passed...


and best of all, Rowling states that Dumbledore's patronus was...yes...a phoenix 😳

ya...it wuz pretty obviouss....in 4 th book after krum is stunned n crouch dissapears...dumbledore sends his patronus ...a phoenix 2 hagrid...

hum...but doesnt dumbledore have a phoenix as a pet? it was supposed to be made of fire...but patronuses are a silvery or whitish type...or can they have colors and such?

oh great i didnt know that. thanks for the info. but i read somewhere they used that cards which had pictures on them.. what it was called i cant recall now as my mind is all muddled up
