Tu Meri Zindagi - A Poem

Yeh zindagi bematlab si

(this life is meaningless)

Yeh rooh adhoori si

(this soul is incomplete)

Yeh jahaan bematlab si

(this world is meaningless)

Yeh raah adhoori si

(this path is incomplete)

Is bematlab jeevan ko sawarne

(to adorn this meaningless life)

Is adhoore rooh ko mukammal karne

(to complate this incomplete soul)

Na jane kahaan se aya who

(I don't know from where he came)

Ek hamsafar jaisa ban gaya who

(but he became my life partner)

Mere ansune geet ke dhun ho tum

(you are the tunes to my unheard music)

Mere ankahin lafz ke zubaan ho tum

(you are the speech to my unsaid words)

Mere andekhe khwabon ke neend ho tum

(you are the sleep to my unseen dreams)

Kho jaaun tumhare saath sapnon ki aashiyaan mein

(i want to get lost with you in my dream house)

Le chalo mujhe is duniya se kahin door

(take me away from this world, somewhere far)

Nahi jeena hai mujhe aisi duniya mein jisme na ho tum

(i don't want to live in a world where you are not there)

Aao banayein apne liye ek choti si duniya

(come! lets make our small world)

Jisme tum meri aur main tumhari duniya!

(where you are mine and i am your world!)
