Ch-10

Sorry for the delay guys! Here's chapter 10. Hope you all like it :)

Shivaay sat on his bed fidgeting with the corner of his kurta, clearly uncomfortable. His mind was in a complete mess- he could either tell his brothers about Tia, and worry them, or tell them about Annika and be subject to their relentless teasing and I-told-you-so's. It was an utter dilemma, and not being able to come up with a solution did not sit well with Shivaay Singh Oberoi. His brothers were still staring at him keenly, waiting for an explanation.

Taking a deep breath, he decided to just come out about everything.

"The thing is that", he started, looking at them intently to gauge their minute reaction, "Annika and I aren't engaged but... we're sort of, I guess you could say, dating.."

He had barely finished speaking when Rudra lunged at him, practically fell on his lap, and engulfed him in a suffocating hug.

"I knew it, Bhaiya! I can't tell you how happy I am yayyy!"
Shivaay smiled, and managed to push him away in order to breath.

Om had a huge grin on his face too, happy that his brother had finally listened to his heart. But then, remembering Tia, his face turned grim. No matter how much he wanted Shivaay to be with Annika, his morality wouldn't let Shivaay do this to Tia.

"What happened, Om?" Shivaay asked, noticing Om's sudden change in expression.

"Shivaay, you do realize that you're engaged to Tia, right? How can you possibly be dating Annika? Please tell me you've broken up with Tia? But that seems improbable since she was here only today."

Shivaay sighed.

"Then there's that. The thing is that, I haven't broken up with Tia, but...well, I won't need to."

The brothers looked at him in confusion.

"What do you mean?"

Shivaay then narrated to them the whole story; how he had stumbled upon the documents revealing the Kapoors' bankrupt state, found out Tia's marital status- everything.

Shivaay could swear they both had the same expression of disbelief that Annika had had a while ago, and his assumption was further confirmed when they too burst out laughing.

"Fhat the whuck, guys! Not you too!" He exclaimed, irritated.

"It's just that, Rudra managed to say between guffaws of laughter, "I can't believe you were cheated so badly, "another bout of laughter, "by Lady Baba!"

"Yeah, Shivaay. I'm sorry I'm laughing at something so serious, but this is just-" Om couldn't continue since he broke down into hysterics again.

Seeing his brothers so happy and relaxed, Shivaay's face broke into a huge smile. He was glad that he had told them everything. He felt much, much lighter now. In fact, he felt like he had finally gotten the last bit of strength he would need to defeat the Kapoors.

Wiping tears of mirth from his face, Om turned serious again.

"Now that you know the truth, what are you planning to do about Tia and her family?"

"You leave it up to me, okay? I'll think of something real soon. You both don't worry about it at all."

"Oh come on, bhaiya." Rudra spoke up. "We're not kids anymore. We can help you with, whatever, you know. In fact, these biceps of mine will come in handy to beat the crap out of that Lady Baba and her family for trying to cheat my bhaiya!"

Shivaay ruffled Rudra's hair fondly.

"That won't be necessary, but I'll keep that in mind if nothing else works out."

"But seriously, Shivaay. We can, and we WILL help you. One for all and all for one, remember?" Om said, smiling.

"Okay, okay. I'll let you know if I need your help. Promise."

There was a moment of silence, before Rudra suddenly cried out.

"Hey, this totally calls for an OBro moment!" he then spread his arms wide.

Shivaay and Om looked at their little brother lovingly, and enclosed him in a group hug.

After a few moments, still hugging, Shivaay and Om looked at each other and said,

"Rudra, pehle moment tha, ab awkward hai".

That night, Shivaay had one of the best night's sleep ever, first lost in thoughts about destroying the kapoors, and then lost in dreams about a certain bombshell of a woman.

The next morning found the OBros in an unusually chirpy mood. After quite a long time, they were making breakfast together in their kitchen, laughing around and teasing each other. Dadi's heart filled up when she saw them from where she stood by the door. In a family that was filled with dysfunctional relationships, seeing these three made her ecstatic, and gave her hope that not all was lost in this family of hers.

"Dadiii!" Rudra skipped towards her in a jovial mood. "Why are you standing there, come na. Try this new recipe bhaiya has made."

"No Rudra, you know these foreign dishes don't sit well with me." Dadi said with a smile. "Besides, seeing you three so happy is enough for me."

"Hmm.. but soon it's going to be four' dadi!" Rudra said with a wink.

Shivaay glared at him.

"Shut up Rudra!" He said with clenched teeth.

Dadi only laughed, and left the kitchen. She was wise enough to know what was going on without having to be told.

"Phew, that was close. Rudra, dare you say ANYTHING about ANYTHING to the family, I'll bury you under a hundred of those dumbbells you lift!" Shivaay threatened him. Rudra only grinned sheepishly, while Om laughed.

Suddenly, the air around Shivaay seemed to change, charge up and electrify, and he knew that his Annika had entered the mansion. Smiling like a love-struck teenager, he walked towards the hall, as if in a trance, and his brother looked on, their brows furrowed in confusion.

As usual, looking at Annika made Shivaay's breathing stop. Dressed in a sleeveless pink top and her usual denim jeans, she looked nothing out of the ordinary, but to Shivaay, she was the most beautiful creature to ever walk this earth. He forgot his whereabouts and walked towards her. It was when he was about to grab her by the waist and pull her to him when her shrill cry of "Billuji!" broke his trance. Shaking his head to clear it, he looked around to see his mom and Badi Ma in the hall, thankfully lost in their own conversation to notice the exchange that had been about to take place. Turning back towards her, Shivaay found Annika glaring at him angrily.

"Can't you keep your hands to yourself, huh? What if someone had seen us?"

"I don't care, Annika." Shivaay said in a husky voice, while he looked her up and down with a heated gaze. "As long as I get to hold you, I don't care who sees us."

Annika face heated up, as she looked down and smiled.

Shivaay was about to say something else when Rudra sprinted towards them, with Om following close behind.

"Hi Annika bhabi!" He said with a childlike, wide grin.

"Bhabhi?!" Annika exclaimed, looking towards Shivaay.

"Don't worry Annika," Om assured her with a smile. "Shivaay has told us everything. "So it's only natural that Rudra, as well as I, call you bhabi."

Annika blushed crimson, her heart filling up at the fact that Shivaay had told his brothers about their relationship; it spoke of his confidence and faith in their relationship.

Shivaay too was immensely pleased that they were calling her bhabhi'. He loved the fact that Annika shared such a beautiful relationship with his brothers already; with Tia, they had barely managed to get along.

"I'm so glad I've finally got a bhabi of my choice!" Rudra's words made the other three smile.

Clearing his throat, Shivaay spoke up.

"Anyway, I need to do some work in my room. And Rudra, don't you have college to go to?" He asked Rudra.

"Yeah bhaiya, just going. Sumo is going to kill me for being late again! Bye bhaiya, O, bye bhabi!" With that he ran out of the mansion.

"I need to go too, guys. Art studio." Om said, and wishing them both goodbye, he too left.

Shivaay and Annika watched them go, and when they were out of eyesight, Shivaay turned towards her.

Leaning close, Shivaay whispered in her ears,

"Meet me in my room in 5 minutes sharp."

With that, he too left the hall, leaving behind a wide-eyed and flushed Annika.

Uh-oh, looks like it's payback time, she gulped.

Firstly, It was such a calming update. Filled with so much of warmth and happiness, even after so much of deceiving and lies. Brilliant Anklet, Just plain Brilliance👏

For Shivaay, to not take tension and to not worry about the threat that was around his family, even for a second is a big big thing. This sudden good change within SSO is all because of Annika, True Love.

This SSO knows how to appreciate good things in his life, to cherish it without restrictions or any sort of inhibitions. Two Reasons; One. before this he had no one to take in his worries, to participate in being a shield to his family, even OmRu were told about problems when it's solved. Two. he realises someone is doing this for solely his happiness and his family's safety, no favours in return asked.

When one realises the goodness within a human, the sort of positivity it brings is way more powerful, than thought.

And tonight when Shivaay discovered it ,again, within Annika, he couldn't help but feel the gratitude and happiness.

He was just not thankful for her involvement in the Tia trap but truly thankful for changing his beliefs and principles of Naam Khoon Khandan, Thankful for letting him see beyond such belittle thing, to let him be aware of one's intention than one's lineage. Thankful for proving him wrong and making him restore his faith in human, in general.

But poor Shivaay baby, today just wasn't his day! yesterday his life was going so good but today, NOT EVEN A PROPER KISS! how horrifying is that! Poor guy is already controlling just way too much. Uppar Annika and uske Nakhre Noor Jahan ke! Not to worry Shivaay baby, This Anklet na, I'll handle her, let me see how she doesn't let you lay finger on your Annika. Go romance😳

Moving Forward, Dear Shivaay, for a change it's not you acting like a tube light but the dear ones around you, definitely are! ( Though you guessing that OmRu got to know about the Kapoor's was really illogical but keeping that aside)

I feel you Shivaay baby, perviously Annika and now OmRu are wrecking your patiences but take a deep breath and go on to your mantra, Main sab sambhal lunaga.

Annika Sweetie.

You are the saving grace in Shivaay's life, Knowingly or Unknowingly you have always helped this Bhagad Billa of your's and taken every pain to save him, if Shivaay is the Shield, you are the sword. While he will only protect, you on the other hand, will slay down his each enemy.

So tonight you may have laughed it out in front of Shivaay, to not make it too stressful for him but I am sure your last thought before you hit the bed will solely be about how to teach Tia a lesson or two about universe's negativity and it's clearance. So while in front of Shivaay you laughed freely but even then you were a erupting volcano within. Already blocking your movies on the map.

But that doesn't mean that you'll leave Shivaay in the pools of wants, Stop showing your nakhre woman, Haan nahi toh!

All you had to say was to drive out of the chawl and Shivaay would have whisked you into another dimension altogether, Not that you should have done it just because Shivaay wanted but because YOU wanted it too and cut some slack for that poor guy, He went through a lot in just a period of 24 hours.

firstly the restlessness after knowing that You have some admires, Ogling to glory at you. Secondly the deceive he got caught of, You know it took more than half his day to get everything right, just not for his family solely but For YOU ( he initiated this search stuff for You only.) and then you were being all tube light to question Shivaay's commitment towards you. Poor Lad.

But I hope you realise it and make it for him tomorrow 😳

Whereas for Omkara and Rudy boy.

My lovely mumkins, you know exactly which buttons to press within Shivaay. I am patiently waiting for you people to play the cupid and give some moments of 'Aahmm' 'Aahmm' to your brother and his 'fiancee' ( You know whom exactly is in question) 😆😆 and other than being the cupids I am way more than sure and confirmed that You both will play, ' Unse panga nahi lete jinke do-do devar ho'😉
