| It's true that Vivek Agnihotri is planning to make a sports-based film [football], but another interesting script has caught his fancy and the director of CHOCOLATE has decided to make that film first. To be produced well-known financier Raju Shah, Agnihotri is locking the script somewhere close to Pune. "I've been here since the last few days, completing the script before I return to Mumbai," an excited Agnihotri informs me. What attracted him to this script in the first place? "It's a period-crime film. It's a rare combo; something that hasn't been attempted on Hindi screen yet. Its uniqueness got me hooked," the techno-savvy director divulges. Agnihotri has already signed Anil Kapoor and Vivek Oberoi for the project in question, "and is in negotiations with Bobby Deol and Nana Patekar for two more pivotal characters in the film," he adds pronto. So what happens to the sports-based film he was so keen to make soon after CHOCOLATE released? "That's not on the backburner," he puts my doubts to rest, "I'll take it up once I am through with the period film." |
