Chapter 12 Khushi's Requests to Devi Mayya!
Arnav was about to knock and get inside Khushi's house when he heard heated discussions going on...
"Khushi it must be all your fault... And you are a newly married girl. Who comes and simply stays at her parents' house just like that especially after what happened? You must have argued with Arnavji further and annoyed him... It's all your fault... Tomorrow I am going to call Naniji and apologize on your behalf and you will go back. We both will drop you back to RM Garima shouted at Khushi. She was at her parents' house for last 4 days and not a single phone call came from Arnav... Not that he called her much before but at least he would pick her up or she would go back same evening... Garima was worried like hell and was getting worked up...
She did not know much about their relationship... Khushi always showed how happy she was and kept the relationship details between her and Arnav under wraps. Worrying her parents was last thing on her mind! They knew Arnav is an extremely busy person and they did not expect him to come with Khushi to their house... So Khushi could easily hide the reality...
"No Amma, it's not always my fault... I strongly feel you live in fairy tale world with a beautiful rosy picture of marriages. Real marriages are anything but that. Though you are lucky not to see the other side... And I did not argue with him. In fact I came here to have some peace of mind and space for both of us... And this is my home, not Raizada Mansion. I don't need permission to come here... Khushi replied stern...
"This was your home but not anymore. You are married now and Raizada Mansion is your home now because that's where your husband and in-laws live Garima too was strict with Khushi. She hated to lie to Khushi that this is not her home... Of course this is her home but once she is married, Garima wanted her to visit with her husband and not like fight with her husband, come here to stay... Khushi is young and Garima is always worried about her blunt and honest nature...
Khushi stomped her feet and went inside her room and banged the door...
Arnav was not sure if this is the good time to enter her house and stood there thinking and then he again heard Khushi's voice from other room that looked like her bedroom... He went closer to the window to listen...
"Hey Devi Mayya, please talk to Amma and convince her somehow... This is my home. This is where I belong... I feel suffocated in that Raizada Mansion... I don't want to go back and stay with that Laad Governor... Please do something... And don't worry about Naniji... I will not run away from my responsibilities, I will go there daily to take care of her and come back... I will take care of my friend NK also. It's just that the Laad Governor does not need me... I don't know how to explain this to Amma... She always thinks it's all my fault... Khushi sighed...

"Why he is always so angry...? I am so scared of him that I can't even ask him about having my Salmanji's poster in the room... Imagine life without looking at Salmanji's picture or without talking to him at all for these days... I am sure you understand how bad it is... And to top it all, that soft, fat toy bear is her boyfriend? What did she call it Tutu teddy? Who has name like Tutu? Loser... And she just called me monster, I will show her later... Arnav fisted his hands to control his anger for now... How childish and innocent? Still his heart did not miss to realize her true innocent childish behavior...

"Seriously, I said all those things in anger, never meant it, she doesn't even realize it? Did she forget I had started spending time with her and started liking her? Arnav chided his own heart... Is he really angry with her or mad at himself, he was totally confused...
"Devi Mayya, somehow do something to bring me back to my own home... It wouldn't matter to him if I stay with him or not... I don't need anything from that gold mansion, just spare me my freedom... I want to fulfil my Babuji's dream... I will offer you not just jilebis but five more sweets... I promise... I will make all those sweets by myself and offer them to you... Please do something Devi Mayya... Pretty please... Khushi was urging her Devi Mayya nonstop...
"What the? Arnav was raged after he heard Khushi... Did she just call their marriage crap, bullshit and without any substance...? Did she indirectly just call him the worst husband while praising her father? Did she just say he was a failure when compared to her father? How dare she?
And is this the girl Nani chose for him and threw him out of his own house to bring her back? What the?
He knocked the door, not wanting to hear anything anymore...
"Namaste uncle and auntie, I am here to take Khushi... He politely announced...
Arnav could see Khushi's parents' faces immediately lit up with happiness...
"Khushi, come out... Look who is here to take you back home? Garima shouted excitedly...
Khushi came out and is surprised to see Arnav standing inside her house...
"Khushi take him inside your room, while I make him coffee and some snack... Garima ordered Khushi... Don't know when this girl will understand anything, she murmured...
"Auntie, I am good. Came from home after dinner and I do not take coffee at this hour... With that Arnav followed Khushi... He did not want to stay back and answer any questions...
"I will not talk to you and no sweets for you... Oh, so you have totally decided not to help me or listen to me... Don't worry... Now that he is back to take me home, I will show him what it is to shout at KKG... Its high time Laad Governor learns his lesson for messing up with KKG. I swear, next coconut I offer for you, I will beak it on his head first... Khushi angrily looked at Devi Mayya's idol and whispered but Arnav being behind her heard it and felt hostile due to her blabber with her Dei Mayya...
She quickly packed her stuff and walked out of her room...
"Khushi, see how much ever childish you behave, Arnav is so nice... He still came to pick you up and take you back home... Now go and behave well. Don't fight with him or annoy him with your pranks Garima warned in a low voice... Khushi was hopping mad, angrily glared at Arnav but did not react further and just nodded... No point trying to convince her mom, she knew...
"Why don't you go and stay in RM if you like Arnavji so much? Then you will know the reality of my life as well... Golden cage, huh...Khushi blabbered again...
Arnav could see her resentment and rebellious streak! It is not going to be an easy battle to bring some normalcy between them, he knew right then...
They quickly got into the car and Arnav drove back to RM. Khushi avoided any communication with him and there was an awkward silence between them... She preferred to look outside than to talk to her husband... Khushi was happy there was not much traffic and they reached RM quickly...
