Chapter 9 :
Next day also Shaurya was caught up with meetings which continued for long hours and Mahek was trying to focus on her work in office, few a times her eyes were searching him in office, when she came after completing her lunch she found his cabin door was open , she immediately rushed to check whether he is back but to her surprise it was Tina who was inside the cabin , Tina was a bit shocked to see Mahek there but she understood she must have came to check whether Shaurya is back or not...Sir may be coming back tomorrow so I was just making sure everything is in it's place Tina explained the reason what she is doing in his cabin, Mahek with a sad face replied it's ok you can carry on I just thought he is back. He will be in the office tomorrow, Tina replied her with a smile , Mahek just blushed and left the cabin saying yeah I know...and iam Waiting for him.
Shaurya planned to travel in night itself as there will be less traffic on the highway, and he can reach soon , but he was caught up on the highway when sudden heavy rains started , and it wasn't safe to travel as visibility wasn't clear and the trees were crashed down on highway. He parked his car aside and tried to look out for some guest house or any hotel near by , he couldn't found any he came back to his car and he was so tired that he didn't had energy to change his wet clothes, he dozed off for few hours in the car.
It was morning 6 AM , when he saw traffic was moving on the road and sky was clear, he came out of the car and took the bottle and washed his face as his eyes were still red and Suddenly he was feeling pain in his whole body, he somehow managed to reach Delhi, It was morning 9 AM when he reached Khanna House , Vicky was at dining table doing his breakfast, he saw Shaurya coming inside and was worried looking at his condition, he immediately rushed to him .. Bhai are you all right? I was trying to connect you since night your phone wasn't rechable, he hugged him , his body was completely hot .. Vicky checked his temperature and made him sit on sofa , Shaurya replied iam fine Vicky it's just I was caught up in traffic and didn't get any place to stay back on the highway and I spend the whole night in car and I don't know when I fell asleep in my drenched clothes, Vicky scolded him and called the doctor as he was caught up with fever and cold and Karuna and Harish we're out of city to attend a wedding of a relative, Vicky informed Karuna as well and she informed him that she will be back by evening.
Vicky took Shaurya to his room and helped him to get fresh up and change his clothes, doctor visited and checked him he was having 103 temperature , he was shivering from cold doctor prescribed him medicine and asked him to take complete bed rest, Vicky asked Aawara to bring the medicine and asked him to make some soup for him, Vicky gets Nehal call that he is coming to college or not as they to submit their projects, Vicky informs her about Shaurya's condition and Mahek over hears it , she takes the phone and asks what happened to him , Vicky informs her about Shaurya's health condition and that Karuna is also not at home to take care of him, Mahek tells him not to worry she will be there in some time and he can leave for the college once she reach there.
Shaurya eyes and body were burning and he wasn't ready to eat anything, he was continuously asking about Karuna , Vicky informed him that MAA will be back in evening and till than Mahek Di will take care of him... Shaurya gets shocked to hear that..and thinks that junglii Billi will come and take care of me ..ohh no I can't even counter attack her in this condition what if she use this situation to take her revenge for last time...he tells Vicky no need for any one to come here and I will take care, he tries to get up but fells down on pillow because of weakness, yes bhai I can see how much you are in position to help yourself , Vicky said while trying to make him sit , Aawara brings medicine and soup Vicky tries to help him in completing his breakfast but Shaurya wasn't willing to eat anything, Give that bowl to me Vicky and let me handle this 2 months old baby , Shaurya couldn't believe his ears that he heard Mahek's voice and turned around to look at the door where she was standing Shaurya was happy as well as scared a bit, Vicky at once came to her and handed her the bowl and replied I trust you Di and he left the room as he was getting late.
Mahek took the chair and sat beside him and took the spoon near his mouth, he turned around his face saying I said Iam not feeling like eating anything, Shaurya replied . Mahek holded his jaw and made him face her and warned him to complete it quickly else she knows other ways to feed him, he looked into her eyes and a smile spread on his face ,if his health condition was good enough he would have surely wanted to know what we're those other ways but now he surrendered himself and started having the soup , without blinking his eyes , after completing his meal she gave him medicines and made him drink water he holded her hand and kissed it softly, she cleaned his lips using her duppata, and asked him to take a nap for sometime, she took a white cotton cloth and placed it on his forehead, she kept on changing it until the temperature came down, she got up from there to keep the bowl when Shaurya caught her hand in his sleep, and said ..don't leave me I need you Maa, Mahek realized he must be missing karuna's care she kept the bowl aside and sat beside him on the bed holding his hand , don't worry Shaurya iam here right beside you , shuarya took her hand and kept it on his chest and pulled her more closer to him , she softly kissed his forehead and whispered you will be fine soon , for few minutes she kept on moving her fingers in his head and caressing his cheeks with her soft touch and after few minutes even she fell asleep resting her head on his forehead.
Almost after half an hour shuarya slowly opened his eyes only to find Mahek resting beside him holding his hand , her hairs were falling on his eyes, he tried to move it back , he hasn't seen her before so closely and she was looking like an innocent child , he touched her cheeks softly ... Mahek opened her eyes due to his sudden touch and quickly raised her head , iam so sorry didn't know when did I fell asleep, she was about to get up from his bed when he pulled her hand making her fall on his chest, her hairs fell down on his face, he moved it back , I thought you came here to take care of me but tum toh chance par dance maar rahi thi , (making use of the opportunity to get closer to him) Have you changed your mind Mahek ?? shall I tell MAA that her Only dream to see her son married is about to come true?? Shaurya tried to tease her , Mahek struggled to got up and stand and replied are you mad it was you who holded my hand and made me sat beside you , Mahek tried to defend herself, and she took a glass of water and gulped it , but I was in my sleep and I thought it was MAA who was sitting beside me and who kissed my forehead, Shaurya continued his teasing...Mahek spitted out the water which she was drinking... why will I kiss you , it must be your dream she tried to cover up, Did I said you kissed me ?? and BTW why are you sweating so much in AC Mahek ?? have I caught you red handed ?? Shaurya couldn't leave this opportunity to bring out truth from her mouth , Mahek closed her eyes and took a deep breath and went near to him holding thermometer, and keeps it in his mouth saying bahut bolty ho tum (you talk too much) after few minutes she checks and tells your temperature is down now , I expected it to increase a bit more with your touch Shaurya replied with a wink ...Bistaar mein bimaar pady ho, chalny phirny ki haalat nahi phir bhi bakwaas kaam nahi hoti tumhari ( you are on a bed rest , you don't even have some energy to walk but still you won't stop talking nonsense) Mahek replied him back Irritatingly and tells iam going down to make coffee for you , he nods his head saying ok.
Mahek forgets her mobile in the room and she has few miss calls from PD , Shaurya thought of answering it but didn't knew what she will understand, PD calls again and by mistakenly Shaurya clicks on speaker, and PD starts talking Arey Ladoo why are you not answering my call , Mahek comes and snatch her phone from his hands , and talks to her , PD phone was on silent, PD asks her to come back early in evening as they are planning to celebrate Mohit's Birthday, Mahek replies yes PD I know, I will be there by 6 PM she disconnects the call and gives the coffee to Shaurya and tells what happened to your manners, don't you know you shouldn't answer anyone else mobile? Miss Sharma I was trying to turn it on silent, it was by mistake I turned on speaker, he cleared it. Anyway I may have to leave after sometime what do you want to have for lunch?? I want to have a bite of LADOO Shaurya replied holding his laugh , Mahek gaved him a shocking look and started beating him with cushion, Awww Mahek it's hurting yaar stop it he shouted ...she asked him to have the coffee, he asked did you mixed anything else in this ?? you take a sip and give me back ...Mahek takes the cup and sip it and give it back to him and tells look iam alive now will you drink it ? Shaurya turns the cup and drinks from corner where her lip marks were printed on cup ,and sips it and tells strawberry flavor...Mahek gives him a confusing look..what ?? you have applied strawberry flavor lipstick Mahek ,...look may be not directly but indirectly I have tasted you LADOO ...he replies her with a smirk on his face , she takes the cushion and starts hitting him again saying don't you call me Laddo again, it's only PD who calls me with this name, and she goes out of the room blabbering in herself, she goes back to kitchen and tells I won't leave you Shaurya Khanna for this.
Aawara comes there and sees she was about to cry and she asks Bhabhi.. Bhaiya ne Kuch keh diya hai kya , she tells nothing like that and asks for pasta to make lunch for him , Aawara gives him pasta and she makes a creamy pasta salad for him , and takes it and tells him to have his lunch so that she can give him medicines , Shaurya tells just now I had a coffee now I can't eat this ..she gives him a angry look and tells so what do you want me to do to throw it ?? she puts a spoon full of pasta forcefully in his mouth , he chews it and asks tell me one thing before joining the office you were a warden in any hostel or any teacher in a kindergarten school?? why do keep on scolding me ?? Mahek replies it's you who is behaving like a KG student that's the reason I have to be strict with you ...he completes his lunch and she gives him medicine and ask him to take a nap and he refuses he asks he wants to take some fresh air and he tries to get up to go to balcony, he was about to fell when Mahek holds him and helps him to reach balcony... why do iam getting the feel that you have changed in these last two days .. Shaurya couldn't stop himself from asking this , somewhere he had hopes that she started liking him ...I haven't changed a bit Mr.khanna iam the same person what I was 2 days back and you will get to know it soon she replies him with a big smile...he gives her a confusing look...and was about to asks her something when she gets a call from Karuna ..he looks at the screen and smiles and answers the call and tells Maa iam missing you so much come back soon...Karuna smiles and tells that they will reach in another half an hour and he hangs up the call saying iam waiting for you Maa...
Mahek listen to conversation and goes down to kitchen...she makes sweet corn soup for him and brings to his room...Mahek what is this now ?? aaj Kya tum mujhy khilaa khilaa Kar marna chachti hoo ? ( you want me to kill by making me eat so much) , Mahek replies don't worry Mr.Khanna this isn't for you have some patience and you will get to know about this ..after few minute she hears the car horns sound and she waits for few more minutes and than throws the bowl on the floor and just than Karuna enters the room , Shaurya what is happening here...even Awara comes there after hearing the sound Mahek makes a sad face and goes and hugs Karuna saying Maa he didn't liked the taste and he threw it away ...since morning I have different dishes for him but still he is finding fault in everything...ask Awaara Bhaiya also he knows how many times I visited kitchen, Karuna looks at Aawara who nods his head saying yes Bhabhi came so many times and few hours back she was crying also... Shaurya looks at Aawara angrily and scolds him and tells Mahek is telling a lie Maa I haven't done this ...chup Kar shauie I wasn't expecting this from you , poor girl she is taking care of you and you were troubling her like this... Aawara leaves from there and mahek goes near to him to take her mobile and tells happy scolding and get well soon and winks at him ... Shaurya stares her angrily and tells you have to pay for this Miss Sharma , Karuna hears his voice and tells you are still scolding her ? Mahek goes near to Karuna and tells leave it Maa , I have got used to it now in office also he keeps on scolding me like this in front of whole staff she tells with a puppy face...Karuna cups her face and tells iam so sorry bachaa let me recover him first and than I will show him she looks angrily at Shaurya, who was still looking angrily at Mahek ...Mahek touches her feet and tells I have to leave now it's already late ...Karuna thanks her for taking care of him.
