They made Suraj admit that he was the father because without this Chakor wouldn't have accepted him as a changed man and fell for him. It was necessary for the story progression. Suraj had to recognize that child as his and keep Imli as far as possible from any public defamation in order for Chakor to see him as good man and in the same time to have peace of mind because Imli was out of danger and focus all of her attention on Suraj.

Your reasonings are absolutely logical and easy to accept, but looking back at Udaan's cvs lack of iinterest in thier show's characters and lame, illogical story tracks. I highly doubt that they're going to ever give any explanation for bachua no 1. Whatever, we discussed here in this forum with logics and good explanations, felt like giving too much credit to Udaan's cvs. They have amazing set of actors, Amazinfg chemistry between SuKor, yet they manage to torture all the SuKor fans and Udaan fans. Where's Chakor's "Haunsolo'n ki udan" This shit looks more like "Imli k bachey". I really want, whatever you said, to turn out to be true but I have 0 hopes from udaan's cvs.
