Hello all Mac enthusiasts...

I am crazy about apple products and Mac tops it all...so heres some..Good news for you all like me, out there....
In tuesdays Macworld'08 conference held in SF..Steve Jobs, CEO, Apple Inc. unveiled 4 important updates..out of which the best and most impressice was the apple new innovative, ultra think laptop, dubbed the " Macbook Air". For starters, here are some specs, as quotted form the the apple website:

"It measures an unprecedented 0.16 inches at its thinnest point while its maximum height of 0.76 inches is less than the thinnest point on competing notebooks. In addition to a stunning 13.3-inch LED-backlit widescreen display, MacBook Air offers a full-size and backlit keyboard, a built-in iSight video camera for video conferencing, and a spacious trackpad with multi-touch gesture support, letting users pinch, rotate and swipe. The new notebook is powered by a 1.6 GHz or 1.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 4MB L2 cache, and it includes as standard features 2GB of memory, an 80GB 1.8-inch hard drive, and the latest 802.11n Wi-Fi technology and Bluetooth 2.1. Starting at just $1,799, MacBook Air begins shipping in two weeks."

Pros : Comes in an ultra light module tht is the first in the world..also availabe in 64GB SSD hard drive , 802.11m Wi-Fi gives you super fast ethernet..something we have just dreamed off..full sized back lite keyboard and weighing only 3Lbs..new software updates, touch track pad like iPhone sounds great!

Cons: No optical drive, can be purchased separately @ $99. Needs to use "Remost drive" to load softwares through CD/DVD. Only one USB drive. I would have preffered a 15" screen..but 13.3" for tht config seems good..And ofcourse the price...for the 80Gb config its $1799 and for the 64GB Sold-state-device, a whopping @3098.
