I only watched the B&W movie (1945) The lead was not good still a great movie

The story is ingenious,.. Although the idea of selling one's soul in exchange for stuff has been done before, Oscar Wilde's version is different

Maybe I should try to read the book 😊

Dushyant Shakuntala - Yes good idea but I feel it has been done, atleast man abandoning the woman after getting her pregnant, her bringing up the baby as a single mother and the baby becoming successful adult - I have seen that story on movies and TV shows

@Betty The book is very gripping...Oscar Wilde explains human psychology so well.. oh yes guy abandoning the lady has been done to death here...my bad
