Maya killed Ashwin like a professional & did not lose her nerve till the very end! No remorse, no regrets! Even though she cried 'papa', she was sarcastic in saying RIP, waste of life etc!

But, she could not do the same when Saanjh & VM were staring down her gun's barrel! She was verbally not sparing them with all kind of threats but could not hit the target like a cold blooded murderer! She lost control & swooned! why? Any conscience biting problem, because they were not so bad to get killed, just like that?

Samay is not having such problems! He would kill prem, after sharing a meal with him! Innocent prem has no such luck when he faces a hardened criminal!
The duo are going to wreak havoc on others' lives! But, CVs are going little soft on Maya, unlike Samay!
She has a very minuscule chance to stay alive with a redemption hope after serving her sentence in the end while Samay will surely die at same stage!

Maybe somewhere deepdown she knows it that's why she feels she has to project herself as someone Arjun might like, maybe the mother of his child...or someone who needs sympathy? that's a sad life.. but ofcourse, because she has resorted to harming and hurting people to ensure her own illusion of happiness, she will have to pay.. like Shaenma said, like it or not she is the central character in the show so she will go down eventually, hopefully with few lessons learnt, but not today or so soon...

Cuz somewhere down the line its not just about Arjun, its about controlling each and every person around or far away from Arjun. Her means of controlling is partly through scaring others, she has been scaring her own mother.. Whom she loved before Arjun. Her sets of priorities also keep changing. For her happiness Somwhere lies in controlling.. She is often content then... You can see a sort of pleasure (small form of happiness) when she Vandana is scared of her.. And screaming around.. But then that's just a way she defines happiness... Its not that she doesn't know what happiness is... Its her faulty way of defining it.

Insecurity agreed. And I would blame Arjun too for it... Like... Ohh.. Leave it.. It would be to another big paragraph. But had he been like he is now... Her mental health might have been little im check.
