Luna: With Maya, there was a chance for Indian TV to try something actually 'different'. To show how victims of abuse are not criminals, but wronged souls who need a lot of patience and the correct medical attention to heal.

But they decided to walk down the predictable route. That's a tragedy in itself; the message which this is going to ultimately send out about people who have suffered child abuse. And that's to speak NOTHING of the fact that the character of Maya is becoming less realistic and more surreally 'omnipotent' with each episode.

I know this is Indian TV, but still it wasn't a crime to hope for something truly ground-breaking. Oh well, there you get the paradox. 😃
