The makers brought the portrait coz they have now changed their mind from making the show Mehas story to Shauryas Kahani to a typical Saas Bahu and miscellaneous family members (who are negative or become negative when their turn comes on the roulette) show

Much as I hate to say it the ver 01 SK was a unique treat to watch and he was one who we loved to hate but now he's lost in love and also forgotten his trademark sharpness and shrewdness amidst the excess negatives in the form of nani and papa

Wish atleast a bit of that ver 01 comes back to avenge the kidnapping next week and throw out Nani
