It's not proved that Jhanvi was sick then why was Maya giving her tablets? Maya was bad since beginning it seems while she used to threaten her mother and make her live under house-arrest.

that was in the adulthood. Where was Jhanvi when Ashwin had locked her in the dark room? where was she when Ashwin had beaten her up in public & tarnished her image? where was Jhanvi when he had thrown the paint on her & dipped her into the water tub? she was nowhere in the pic. If Maya had let Jhanvi lose, Ashwin would have killed her a way back & she would be dying a lawaris death.

^I don't know where Jhanvi was when Maya was beaten up during her childhood. Rest all are assumptions that Jhanvi never saved her daughter as we did not see that she did not even try to save her. Also, Jhanvi was herself being physically abused by Ashwin. To put all the blame on Jhanvi isn't right IMO. And assuming that Jhanvi was freed and she would die a lawaris death is again assuming things. Like that, Maya is logically right in keeping Arjun and Vandana under house arrest as well. Placing someone under house arrest doesn't show your love or concern for them and Jhanvi isn't mad to be caged.
