The British Invasion: the 17th episode of the 12th season saw the return of Eileen Leahy as the only bright spot in this otherwise tragic episode.. I never cared much for the BMOL... 😳 so that entire Kendricks flashback and the fact that Mick killed his best friend and adhere to the Code was ho-hum for me.. the BMOL have frankly been given too much screen space, which rightfully should have been given to other characters like the boys and Mary.. Cass, Crowley and his mom and his son.. who were brushed under the carpet within an episode or two..

Kelly is tricked into believing the mind controlled gynaec that her baby is safe.. and again tricked by the Winchesters into getting her into a secluded place.. where the rather drab encounter with Dagon takes place, where the only action that takes place is Eileen killing a BMOL bloke and finding herself on the radar of the BMOL. The repurcussions include Dr. Hess exterminating and eliminating American hunters and the death of Mick Davies.. which wasnt shocking to me.. Supernatural has a habit of killing the bad guys when they turn good..

What is the purpose of bringing Mary back and intertwining her track with the BMOL? She sleeps with Ketch who surprisingly harbours some feelings for her.. This was totally not needed 🤢 It was forced and randomn and puke worthy.. This season is almost as if the boys have forgotten that their mother existed.. and she likewise.. totally disappointing..
The scene of Lucifer and Crowley was tiring untill the part where Lucifer flashes his red eyes and gets the demons to applaud him as their king rather than Crowley.. who seems to have fallen for this charade.. 😳 oh well... one cant win all the time.

The Memory Remains: the Monster of the Week included a black bill creature.. 'goat dude' 😆 who feeds on the blood of victims in exchange for the wealth that the Bishop family amasses.. the Colt is in action for one last time! (who knew ) The BMOL make an unwanted appearence wherein Ketch is the one who sends them an email regarding the details of the case from Mick's mail id.. and in the meantime, searchs the Bunker while Sam and Dean have left.. and creepy Ketch also steals a childhood photo of Mary and Dean which he almost broods over longingly at the end of the episode.. 🤢
The last 5 minutes of the episode where Sam and Dean talk about legacies and carve their initials on a table in a bunker were the most touching.. ⭐️ This was a scene.. which i would have loved on the ending of Supernatural.. and which i would cherish for a long time to come.. glad that the makers thought of this.. 😃

The Future: Cass returns back to the bunker to earn Dean's wrath and return to him a tape full of Dean's favorite Led Zeppelin songs, only to play him and leave with the Colt. Team Free Will will have to wait it out forever... Cass leaves Sam and Dean out once again to obey orders from Joshua and Heaven to search for Dagon and Kelly.

Kelly is convinced that her baby loves her and was the reason why she died and was brought back to life while both Dagon and later Castiel try to convince her.. that the baby was nothing more but pure evil.. the awesome power of the Nephilim was on full display as it shows visions of the future to both Kelly and Cass who become convinced that everything will turn out just fine.. certain scenes like the Sam-Dean confronting Cass and Kelly and they running away in the Impala were unnecessary and served as fillers..
This episode centered on Cass and how he was sort of 'possessed' / brainwashed from killing the baby to letting it live.. i wonder whether this was the cosmic consequences Billy was talking about.. and how Cass who so wanted to return with a win for the Winchesters has made things worse by taking responsibilty for the safe birth of the Nephilim.

Bottomline: I still havent figured out the need for the BMOL track and why Mary was brought back.. there is no bonding between her and the boys and no other track, except with the BMOL, which is a complete waste of an awesome character..

Well i really liked the 19th episode, it was so good to see cas back in action as a full blown angel with powers, i missed him being like that, when he spoke the last dialogues ..it made me wonder if that was the reason behind misha saying that cas is gonna be like the cas of s4, i cud feel the change when he said he had been lost for so long BUT I also think that he didnt made things worse by taking responsibility of the baby, he cudnt kill an innocent unborn child i understand that but taking responsibility was all the baby's work, the baby has brainwashed cas and kelly both and has blindfolded them with so called belief and faith, sam and dean r gonna have a tough time in snapping cas out of this hypnotism
P.S I agree, i still hvnt figured out the reason behind the presence of BMOL this ssn...i expected great family scenes and bonding when we heard mary is gonna be back but sadly they failed to meet our expectations as usual

I agree.. 😊 Cass's brainwashing into believing that the Nephilim will do more good than bad was complete.. but i believe that the Nephilim still hasnt completely upgraded Cass's powers as yet.. 😳Yes, he was able to turn Dagon into a huge fiery figure burnt 'extra crispy' like she was an ordinary human, leave alone a Prince of Hell.. but that was because the Nephilim transferred some of its power to power up a person, who it believed was its rightful guardian. Of course, the next few episodes would show us whether Cass has upgraded powers, or just had a Nephilim powered boost for some time.

Did you see the spoiler article for the series finale? It says that the trio of Team Free Will will come face to face with Lucifer for control over his baby. I am hoping this is Mark Pelligrino's Lucifer and not some other vessel possessed by Lucifer. That would be a big let down.. 👎🏼
So i feel Cass will not be completely brainwashed against Sam and Dean, or atleast they may agree to be on his side and have a plan up their sleeve.

The BMOL frankly are non-existent for me.. their inclusion seems forced and abrupt into the story-line. And on top of this, Mary being brought back to sleep with Ketch of all the things! 🤢
It is frankly nothing but bullcrap.. i wonder whether Samantha Smith is secretly displeased with the way, her character grap is going and will be relieved when it will (inevitably ) be put to an end!

Thanks for commenting. The BMOL frankly were a poor version of villians. I wish they were never brought into the script at all! 🥱 😡
Infact if you can believe it, they have a full finale dedicated to them which is totally not done! 👎🏼 🤬 I really wonder what the makers have in mind that they have to show them in the finale. 🤢

Mary's purpose of coming back is still not clear with me.. why was she bought back? She hardly had any scenes with the boys.. the first few episodes before her departure, she was briefly there.. rest was spent in her hunting (and eventual sleeping) with Ketch
