Today, Mohit Suri said to Amanjot that aap ek housewife ho, ek professional dancer nahi"..
I might be wrong but it looked like he was kind of saying it in a derogatory manner that "you are just a housewife" and then appended "Not a professional dancer" after realizing what he has said to make it sound better.

I would have been fine if he had just said "You are not a professional dancer so its ok" but I didnt like the way he said "You are just a housewife".

I remember this has been said in the past as well that she is just a housewife. I strongly feel this shouldnt be accepted to be said on a National platform like Star Plus. Even if he said it, it shouldnt have been aired.

Thought?

Couldn't have agreed more! A woman who is a homemaker is not staying home watching TV serials and making dokla as these stupid channels portray!

And she is so pretty too! (lol off topic but just wanted to tell it somewhere)

i dont feel he said it in an offensive way or was disrespectful towards housewife in general. I believe his mom might be one housewife too. All he wanted to show by those words was that he was surprised to see someone dance like that having no professional dance background or attachment to entertainment industry. If amanjot had been a doctor or engineer, then also the comment would have been same. It was just about showing amazement at her performance.

I'm trying not to read too much into it so probably he meant that she isn't used to this limelight since all the other contestants are famous in some way or other, and eh "being just a housewife"; is doing a commendable job being on camera, and dancing glamorously...
...SMH as I am typing this I am realizing what a shitty justification this is and that his wife should beat some sense into him with a chakla and belan to make him understand the power of being a "just a housewife".

He should have strictly stuck to, "you not being from the entertainment background...". Because it ended up sounding like- housewives have no skill or talent other than taking care of an ungrateful family, they're just sau women.

tbh, you cannot expect from nincompoop Mohit who passes comments like "Breshka the way you looked at each other during the dance is a depiction of your relationship" or some BS like that which went over my head.

It's ok, sometimes people slip up.

Hmm...good if he meant it that way and I tried to take it in that way but just couldnt convince myself with the way it was said! Thats why thought of asking in the forum if anyone else felt this way :)

Soo truee Lol 😆😆😆

But at least SP should have showed some sense to not air such a statement which can create controversies. Anyway the comments from judges sound scripted, they could have just done a retake 😛

I don't think he said in a deregotary manner. It's just his way of saying. He isn't good in words
But having said that he should also learn to articulate his opinion in a more professional n sensible way
