You know the drill. Here's the thread for today. If you refresh occasionally like you do for written update, you might be able to read as I update. I will start updating as the episode gets uploaded. You guys can continue your discussion. I will update as I go.
Vicky and Radha is worried that Sonakshi must have used her daughter to trap Dev. They start plotting to throw them out.
Today's title credit goes to Ananya, who very aptly summed up our reaction to the plot line.
Today I will talk about players.
In the game of love, the players are those who lie to the people they love, play with their emotions, put conditions and tests for them and generally string them along to always keep an upper hand.
In my opinion, people who are players, can't be lovers.
Khel woh log khelte hain jinko pyaar karne ki himmat nehin hoti. Jinko pyaar karna aur nibhana aata hain, unko khel khelne ki jaroorat nehin hoti.
Love is complicated and when you bring players into it, it's all murky waters from then on.
You can lie as much to yourself as you want, but when you start letting your lie become the truth for you, that's when it all goes downhill.
So either bet your all in the gamble of love, or fold and walk away. True love is not meant for people who play it safe and play it fake.
And that's precisely why, I have lost any empathy or connection with any of the main leads of this show. I can't sympathise nor empathise with any of them.
EPISODE: The episode starts with Suhana asks how did he like the poem? Dev is overwhelmed. He says that this was the best gift.
Elena says that Suhana also baked cake for him. Golu says that he helped Suhana too. But no one acknowledges that.
Golu makes faces. Dev doesn't once take his eyes off Suhana and he says that he didn't know that his daughter was so talented.
Suhana says after all whose daughter is she? Now they should cut the cake because she is hungry.
Suhana asks them to cut the cake together. But Sona says that three of them will cut the cake together.
Golu is upset.
Me: I said it before and I am repeating myself again. Dev can't balance relationship. He never could and he still can't. There are a few things I didn't like.
1. Suhana very neatly took the whole credit without acknowledging Golu's contribution when Golu did all the work and she just gave direction. She was trying to impress her father, which is fine. But the way she did it was not acceptable.
2. Suhana is a child, so I can still forgive her. But when Golu said that he helped Suhana, at least Dev or Sona should have acknowledged his contribution and the very least thanked him. More than Sona, it was Dev's responsibility to thank Golu too. But as usual, now that Soha is there, Golu has disappeared just like when tomorrow Ishwari returns, Sona will disappear. He can only focus on one person at a time. So would Dev have been happy if there was only Sona and Soha? Yes. But only if there was absolutely no one around. No family, no other children and not even a sibling for Soha. Because he is not capable of managing multiple relationship.
3. Dev keeps claiming that he loves Golu as a son. Then he should have included Golu into cutting the cake. If Golu can't join in because he is not part of their family, then Dev and Sona can't cut cake together because they are no longer married or related in any way whatsoever beyond being parents. Dev is aware of Golu's relationship with his parents and attachment with him. Sorry, if tomorrow Golu turns away from him, it won't be Golu's fault. It will be his.
But then they are all selfish, so I don't expect anything more from them. My heart just broke for Golu today. Thanks to them, they made Golu feel like an outsider today.
The cake gets cut by three of them. Golu is upset.
Suhana says to feed cake to each other. Dev and Sona feels awkward (Me: *SNORT* Nautanki)...
Sona gets over the awkwardness by smearing cake on Dev's face. Dev runs after Sona, she coyly runs around. Soha runs after them. They tussle with each other. Suhana comes there and they smear cake on her too.
Golu and Elena also smile and go after them.
Me: Did I say I always hated bollywood heroine running coyly around the tree and heroes coyly trying to catch them? 🤢
Radha says that they are behaving as if they never got divorced. Vicky says that it was his mistake to think that she hasn't come there to restart her marriage, but he was wrong. He says that he will make sure their relationship cut like this cake.
Me: Ah, Vicky. I understand your confusion. Your evil plotting aside, you are on the mark. Sonakshi is that kind of clingy woman. Trust me, anyone who believes her, is a moron. And same applies to Bhaiya. They will keep playing their games. The best thing you can do is focus on your son. He needs you now more than ever.
At Bose house, Saurabh gets a call. He isn't there to take it. So Ronita calls him. Then he gets a text which is very provocative and someone who calls him handsome and asks him to meet that person the next day. Also says that his innocent wife should not find out their secret.
Anyways, Saurabh comes. Ronita hands over the phone. She asks Saurabh what's wrong. Saurabh says nothing is wrong. He says that it was a message from work and he has to leave early the next day.
Ronita is worried. Saurabh gets a call and he walks away.
Me: Seriously? Anyhoo, unnecessary drama about some person putting moves on her husband when she didn't even have enough chance to put any moves on him. Lagta hain Saurabh ka market value married hote hi high ho gaya. If you ask me, it must be something Saurabh is planning for Ronita and she will be doubtful and then surprised and then coochie coo.
Sona is sitting outside staring at the moon.
Me: Awww... Behena likes that space. To behena, Ishwari jab aake aapko nikalke phenkegi, to yeh jagah aapke liye reserve karwa doon doorman ko bolke?
Bhaiya comes there and gets comfortable beside Sona to do his favourite passtime - staring at her.
Sona looks at him and raises her eyebrows.
He nods as in nothing. He says: Nice, naa.
Sona smiles: Very.
Dev: Suhana, how, us, like this...
Me: Makes no sense whatsoever. Translate please.
Sona's facial expression is the same as my brain situation: Loving, caring, kind and more understanding that her age. In short, perfect.
They both say: Just perfect.
Me: Awww... Lekin Bhaiya, yeh perfection yaad rakhna. Jab mummy aate hi Suhana version 2.0 ki demand karegi, tab yaad rakhna ki version 1.0 perfect hain and perfection needs no change. Tab ditch mat kariyo.
Dev: I don't know how you did it. But you made her like this. For that thank you.
Me (jaws hitting the floor): What? Bhaiya said thank you? He acknowledged Sonakshi's upbringing? Sonakshi raat ko baith ke suraj ko ghoor rahee thi kya?
Sona (*all coy and blushy blushy*): Can I ask something? Did you in the past thought about our anniversary?
Me: Duniya ka sab se stupid sawal. Kyunki jo bhi answer hoga woh guaranteed to be fake.
Because considering he was dating multiple woman in last 7 years, answer Bhaiya truthfully de ya lambi phenke, kaun idiot believe karega?
Dev: A thousand times. I used to celebrate our anniversary in my imagination. Sometimes in Paris, sometimes in a beautiful island in Bahamas, sometimes in Alibag.
Me: Ok. Then lie it is. Bhaiya, tab aapko Sonakshi ki shakal se bhi nafrat thi. Uske upar, poora blame aapne uske matthhe daal diya tha. On top of it, your room had a revolving door with women coming and going. And you were celebrating anniversary in imagination?
Sona (of course swallowing all of it as whole): Eh?
Me: Achcha. Tabhi. Only this moron will swallow that.
Dev: We can't go to foreign every time, naa?
Sona giggles like a brainless bimbo.
Dev: Sorry, that was a stupid joke. I am sorry.
Me: No, Bhaiya. Audience ke hisab se joke sahi hain. Gotta modify material for the audience's intellect in mind. Sabko sab kuch hazam nehin hota naa.
Dev: Did you imagine something like this?
Sona: Many times. But every time I came out of the dream, I realized that I was angry.
Bhaiya gets scared: On whom?
Sona: On myself.
Bhaiya: Yes, me too. Thank you for today.
Sona: Arre? How many times will you say thank you?

Sonakshi makes face.

Sona: Isn't it enough that today you are here and me too and because of us our family is happy?
Dev looks at her all puppy doggy.
Sona: What?
Dev: You said our family. I hope this doesn't become mine and yours again. Ours is good enough for me.
Me: Wohi tho. Aap dono ne family to assign kar liya. Lekin aap dono ki family aap dono ke upar assign hona hi nehin chahti naa.
Sona thinks about it and shrugs: I think you are right.
She gives him her hand for handshake, Bhaiya jumps on her to hug again.
They move apart, feel awkward and do world's most awkward handshake.
Bhaiya: It will take a little time. But I guess we will understand each other.
Then he gets back to staring. Still holding Behena's hand.
Me: Oh hello, Bhaiya. Handshake 5 second ka hota hain, 5 saal ka nehin. Calendar laga doon piche?
Sona looks at the hand he is still holding. Bhaiya in trance again.
Sona: Dev, are you okay? I mean if you want, I can stay back with you for a while more. I can at least do this much today.
Bhaiya still in trance: I am holding her hand. Soft hand. Pretty hands. Moisturised hand. Should I invest in the moisturising company?
Sona (Thinking: Ookay, let's try something else): Soha must be waiting for me.
She slowly takes off her hands and walks away.
She thinks: I know you need me. Just say it once.
Bhaiya (*whispering*): Sonakshi, Sonakshi.
By the time he got up, she was gone.
Me: Behena, aap naa nautanki bahut karti ho. No, seriously. Jab Maata ke peeche jasoosi karni thi, tab permission ka wait nehin kiya. To ab poora dil hain ki Bhaiya ke gale wapas latak jao, to kya engraved invitation ka wait kar rahee ho?
Aur Bhaiya, apna nautanki bandh karo. Behena ko dekhte hi aap ki do chaar brain cells khushi ke maare khudkhushi kar leta hain, phir bhi muh se choo nehin nikalta. Lekin jab gaali maarna hota hain, tab to aap ko bhi invitation ki jaroorat nehin padti?
Jab laddoo paka hi liya hain to kha bhi lo. Hum ko mat pakao.

Me: Same old, same old plotting.
Sonakshi is looking for Soha in guest room who is hiding by the bed. She asks what is she doing there?
Soha says to speak softly because the mosquitoes will find her here.
Sona said that she doesn't need to worry about mosquitoes.
Soha says that she thought to act like she is sleeping so that Sona can spend time with Dev.
Sona says that she is scared of mosquito? She said that she will take care of mosquito.
Then Good Night product placement.
Me: No comment on product placement.
Soha asks her to go to her dad. Sona says that her father is tensed so she is giving him space.
Soha says that her father is tensed and she left him alone?
Sona says that sometimes we need to fight our own tension alone. And she wants to let him fight his own tension. So she didn't want to disturb him. And she was missing Soha. So she came there.
Golu comes there. Sona says: And him too.
She smiles.
Golu tells Sona: I want to see BigCha. I want to sleep with him and listen story from him.
Soha says: But Golu, today papa can't tell stories.
Golu: Why?
Sona: Because he is tired. So he wants to rest. But you can sleep with us. I will tell you stories.
Golu: No, I will sleep with my parents.
He runs from there.
Sona is surprised to see him like this: What happened to him?
Soha: He lost in tug of war with him. I think that's why he is upset.
Sona: Wow, Soha defeated big boy in tug of war? Perfect.
They say together: Just perfect.
They go to bed.
Me: Golu's mental stress is escalating. But no one has time to pay attention. I don't expect Sona and Soha to understand. But Dev knows what he is to Golu. Whenever he is in Dixit house, Golu sleeps with him. I don't know why he didn't once even looked for Golu.
Dev is lying down and thinking about the day's incident. Sonakshi is also thinking about the day's incident.
Dev works at night.
Next morning, Vicky asks Dev why did he buy shares of a company which is sinking?
Dev says that he has a headache to go.
Vicky: Do you know that the shares you bought are from company which is going on loss.
Dev: I know.
Vicky: Then why did you do it?
Sonakshi comes there.
Dev: Vicky it's my money, my company. I can do whatever I want with it. And whoever you are today, is because of me. Now don't teach me. Go from here.
Vicky looks up and sees Sonakshi standing there. He gets angry and leaves.
Me: Kitna mazaa aaye re... Abhi to party shuru hui hain. 🥳
Sona comes in.
Dev: Sonakshi, if you have come to tell me anything, not now.
Sona sits down on the floor: I won't try to make you understand. Because one should be taught something who can't understand. And you know that what you did was wrong.
Dev looks at her from the corner of his eye and then looks away.
Sona: Whatever Vicky said wasn't wrong.
Me: Koi mujhe duct tape kyun nehin deta? Someone grab Sonakshi (I am way shorter than her), and I will personally duct tape behena's mouth. Abey uska paisa, uska bhai. Who cares if he drops him in a khai? Apna business dekh naa, behena.
Dev: I am sorry, Sonakshi. I don't know, but I am not understanding.
Sona: Don't punish yourself like that. I know that whatever happened...
Dev: I know. Whatever happened, my mother did it for me.
Sona: You understand that, then why don't you accept it? I know that she is like a God to you. But sometimes even God can be wrong.

Dev: The problem is not mine. How long will my mother live with this guilt? I will have to find that family and have to ask for forgiveness. Or my mother won't be able to forgive herself nor she could live without this guilt.

Jab 7 saal se bol rahee thi ki Sonakshi ne mudke bhi nehin dekha, tab yeh dhyan mein nehin aaya ki unhone hi usse bhagaya tha? Agar maafi mangna hi hain, to recent crime se shuru karo naa. Jab tak purana victim naa mil jaye, tab tak Bose family hain naa? Unko chod bolne ki maafi maanglo. Sonakshi idhar hi hain, usse maafi mangwalo.
Radha comes and sees them talking.
Dev says that he will have to find that family anyhow.
Sona: Whatever has to be done, they will have to do. I am with you.
She holds his hand.
They smile at each other and Radha feels mirchi achar being rubbed on her face.
Me: Aaj to chappad pharke CVs khushiyan barsa rahe hain. Bada mazaa aaya aaj to. Lekin ek baat bolu? Agar main story likhti naa, to main us missing family ko Jatin ka family bana deti. Phir kitna interesting hota naa.
Sonakshi sees her and lets go of Dev's hands.
She leaves.
Mami tries to speak but Dev interrupts: Mamiji, where is Vicky? I spoke too harshly with him in anger. I will go tell him sorry.
He leaves.
Mami is shocked. She thinks that Dev changed the topic. But she wonders what they are hiding.
Vicky is in his room and angry. Elena comes there to talk. Vicky says that what she wants to say? Whatever drama her sister is playing? The man who was sitting in oblivion, she woke him up. She will ruin everything.
Elena asks what is he saying? What Sona is supposed to...
Vicky says that he doesn't want to hear anything about her sister.
Elena says that she doesn't know what is he talking about.
Vicky says that she won't know until they loose everything. I will burn everything. Am I mad here?
He leaves.
Elena calls his name and wonders what has happened to him.
Me: I am sorry. I am a bit sadist. But I am enjoying mirchi burn on Vicky and Radha. Now just waiting until Ishwari gets the same. 😆
Dev calls someone and asks him/her to find out about Khatri. He also wants to meet him.
Me: Hain? Khatri kyun? Woh kaun sa sach bolega? Us family ko dhoondo naa jiska aapki mummy ne kaam tamaam kiya tha? Yeh log dimaag ko instalment ki scheme mein chalate hain kya?
PRECAP: Radha corners Sona: You don't need to worry about Dev. Tell me what happened to him and why he is behaving weird. What are you hiding from us.
Sona: Actually, the thing is Mamiji...
Mami is shocked.
Me: Nah, CVs. I am no moron. Sonakshi will tell nothing.
