Personally, I think a combination of option b and c would be the best so as to serve justice and mercy both. (Voted for option c though) Not vying for option d because I don't think it's up to me to decide a gruesome punishment for Maya like she goes around doing for xyz characters. Option a is completely ruled, imo, because there's no scope for redemption at all.

options 2 and 3, she could easily manipulate both the systems..
option 1, the way the show is heading, I doubt her redemption..
I chose option 4

Bold: Actually she couldn't if they show a proper, realistic procedural. But in the world of Beyhadh where a court of law gets swayed by emotional drama, anything is possible.

In reality...such a person should be provided therapy sessions and proper medication

and after that person is aware of his/her wrong deeds, when they actually feel remorse for their actions...

that is when they should be sentenced to punishment accordingly

if they have changed as a better person, the punishment can be reduced...

If Maya's entry in the first scene of first episode was any indication, her end will also be on similar lines!

Maya's silhouette surrounded by law enforcing agency would be making a slow re-treat into oblivion and then eventually fade & merge into waiting darkness, at twilight!
This scenario is very much on the cards!

But, before that she will get an opportunity to fulfill her divine appointment and would have a heart rendering meeting with her True Friend! A huge emotional climax is assured for the audience!
And the actor always performed exceptionally in such emotional scenes!

That is her parting gift to audience & it will pave her way to receive an emotional farewell from her fans as well!

Her silhouette might vanish in thin air, but she will stay in hearts & minds of everyone for a longtime to come!

JW has taken a calculated risk in playing this complex role & certainly, it is going to be a stellar performance in her career!

I was always in favor of Maya receiving mental help and starting her life anew as a complete different persona. But the way things escalated post phase 2, I am afraid that's too less of a punishment for her criminal deeds and sets a bad precedent. She should be prosecuted.

there should be another option that is... YES and she should be institutionalize. she should be treated first and then comes redemption or punishment (for me it should be redemption as she doesn't even no how far she has gone in her obsession towards arjun) )because no person is redeemable if he still thinks he haven't done anything wrong. after treatment only she will no whats wrong she has done

It's still not clear whether she's a born psychopath or just mentally ill owing to abuse.

Just abuse alone cannot do that to one, there are always multiple factors (genetic, environmental, psychological etc) involved, imo.
