First Impressions. Rinse n Repeat

I used to watch dabh on and off. I've watched Avinesh Rekhi in madhubala. Give him a chance he is a good actor, including dialogue delivery. Restrained. Think opposite of babasa in that regard.

I am liking Uma's character even though he lives in a "puraatan" world (hey my Sanskrit is going to improve) 😛 I LOVE how Avinesh manages to capture Uma's attachment to his age old beliefs without him having any ego! Like.. this Uma dude is so knowledgeable and well read but he's got that saintly aura to him with no aggression of any kind. Has anyone seen him frowning? Ever? 😆

On a serious note.. There's something very 'pure' about Uma and Avinesh depicts it EXTREMELY well. Uma is strict but not forceful in any of his actions. He's curious about that sandalwood scent wali girl but has the patience (of a saint) to wait around to catch another whiff when she comes around some other time. He wears khaadi kurtas and dhotis and a simple black thread with a pendent. It could have been a gold chain coz this guy is rich or some patterned silk kurta to depict how well to do his khaandan is.. nope! Nothing is over the top with Uma. His eyes (thanks, colored lenses) are a reflection to his soul.. deep like a ocean! They are like 2 mirrors having the darkest shade of black.. his eyes manage to absorb "wrongs" of this new world and reflect nothing back! Does he have nothing to offer back to this bad world? Or does he think they wouldn't understand him? He hears it all.. but says nothing back- content in his own world comprising of a younger sibling and a loyal helper and his vast knowledge of ancient books!

Dolly 🤗 how are you? Hope you remember me 😆 Catch up soon, since last two days the show's pace picked up and specially Uma's role has come into limelight (more for all the wrong reasons) so we got to discuss a lot more. Neither umashankar is a positive character nor negative.
Sooraj in DABH was completely positivity character.
Uma is tpical rajasthani man who believe in god, old customs and traditions.

hi avinesh fans...sultan's ending left us highly disappointed...hope umashankar explores all that avinesh has to offer as an actor...and yes, like someone pointed out kanak isnt raising any temperatures here..😊 wud have liked some chemistry...there is no basic tension between them... and that overbearing bhabo for whom kanak is struggling isnt doing much for me...am i the only one who finds bhabo irritating...the initial treatment she meted out on sandhya was terrible,,,she can never be redeemed in my eyes...
