I don't post much on this forum, I'm mostly s silent member.
But all topics are so similar and you have people either supporting or hating one of the characters.

Infact this program is like a breath of fresh air on Indian television, its unlike your typical saas bahu shows. Though I've read it's becoming one - honestly no! Yes Vandana hates her bahu, but that's it.

A lot of people don't like Maya's character being negative - that's what the whole show is about. Right from the first promo, we knew she's a negative-ish character.

Saanjh has always been so giving, though I agree you won't find such people in reality.

Arjun is the way he is - money minded and spineless l.

We may want the characters to be different because that's how we'd like them. But would beyhadh be beyhadh?

So far it's being true to what they showed in the promo. Ofcourse there are scenes where you wonder what's happening, like with any other show.

Hey there, it would be great to see you around a bit more often.

I agree with you, Maya has been portrayed as a grey character from the very start, why people are turning against the makers' initial decision is beyond me. I think if the characters were set to be as the audience wants to see them, they would lose their slight realistic effect and the charm of the show would disappear.
