I think the main problem with the show is Arjun. His character is so unlikable, thanks to his indecisiveness about what he actually wants, his inherent stupidity, his immaturity and his overall shallow, selfish behavior that one does not feel any pity for him and you don't feel like rooting for him. Which is a problem considering he is supposed to be the "victim" whom everyone is trying to save from Maya's clutches. It's a very poorly written character with no depth and KT's deadpan acting does not help either. The audience actually ends up feeling WHY these 2 women are fighting over such an idiot in the first place. What do they see in him??
Samay could have been such an interesting character. He is the exact opposite of Arjun, someone who knows what he wants, knows how to get it and is in control of the situation and people around him. His dynamics with Maya could have been the refreshing change the show needed but NO they still want to stick to the Saanjh-Maya-Vandy-Arjun circle with Samay hanging around somewhere in the background. Like you said I would love to see more of Samay and Maya's story.
Saanjh finding evidence to free Ayaan would have automatically resulted in Maya's lie coming out in front of Arjun and then it would be in Arjun's hands if he wants to leave Maya after that. So THAT should have been Saanjh's agenda, free Ayaan and in the process bring Maya's truth out in front of the world (which includes Arjun) and if as a result Arjun chooses to leave Maya then good for him otherwise let him be. But here her agenda is the opposite. What good will bringing Maya's "sach" in front of Arjun do if that does not result in hard evidence that can help bail out Ayaan.
