Bani sat at her desk, peeking out of the corner of her eyes at her boss Jai Walia hunched over his desk staring at his laptop. Ghada hai…sari din aur raat baas laptop pe marta hai.(he is donkey…day or night sits at his laptop) Baas ek baar meri taraf dekhe aur ek mushkurahat de toh kya bigad jayega. Uff…I have to think of a way to get his attention. How hard I had to slog to get to be his PA and the only thing he can say to be is 'Good Morning Ms Dixit', 'Please get this file for me Ms Dixit', 'I will in a meeting Ms Dixit', 'Please ask Aditya to meet me in my office.' Koi din bhi nahi kaha Ms Dixit its beautiful day, Ms Dixit you look very nice today, Ms Dixit care to join me for lunch. She glares at his bent head and goes back to her task.
Bani Dixit fell in love with her boss, when she first saw him in Aditya's office. Aditya had hired her as a temporary PA while his PA went on maternity leave. The tall, dark and extremely handsome man was the cause of much heartbreak in the headquarters of Walia Group. But the CEO was oblivious to the obsessed gazes of his female employees.
Bani's concentration was interrupted when her intercom buzzed and the voice of her boss requested, "Ms Dixit, could I get a cup of copy and the file for Goel & Sharma."
"Yes Mr Walia."
Bani went to the corner where the coffee machine was and started a fresh pot of coffee brewing. She stepped into the bathroom and touched up her eyes with khol and some lip gloss. She looked at her reflection, decided her hair needed looked too flat and so with a comb teased it a bit into fullness and undid couple top buttons on her crisp cotton shirt so her neck did not feel constricted.
She quickly made up a mug of coffee how Mr Walia liked it and took it to his room along with the file. Setting the mug down and putting the file next to it Bani said softly, "Your coffee and the file you requested Mr Walia. And a reminder you have a meeting at two this afternoon with AD Inc."
Jai just grunted without glancing at her and reached out and took his coffee mug. Bani felt like rapping his hand just to see his reaction..inconsiderate buffoon, ek nazar bhi meri taraf nehi diya aur coffee ke liye thank you. (did not give me a glance or thank me for a coffee). Just as she turned to leave, Pushkar walked in, "Hi Bani! How are you? You look great."
Pushkar put his arm around Bani and gave her hug. Bani asked innocently, "Have you had lunch yet Pushkar?"
Shaking his head, "No. I haven't. You want to go and grab a bite?"
"Yes. Why not?" Bani replied, watching her boss out of the corner of her eye. Jai Walia just looked up and gave a blank look, "Pushkar what do you want? You are disturbing me?"
Pushkar stepping away from Bani, "Sir just came to pass a message from Aditya sir about the meeting at two in the afternoon."
Jai nodded his head, "I am aware of it as Ms Dixit has already pointed out," saying that he turned his attention back to the laptop. Pushkar shrugged his shoulders and then grabbing Bani's hand, "Lets go and grab some lunch."
Jai Walia watched for few seconds as Bani and Pushkar walked away holding hands and then returned back to his work.
