Samay is the voice of truth. So he knows what has happened. That's why he tells Saanjh leave Maya and concentrate on Ayan. He knows competition with Maya is disastrous

In all probability he does and might have even been working for her/with her. With his support, whatever she might have promised to him in return, Maya achieved her ulterior motive of trapping Ayaan, permanent separation of Arjun from his family and have him all to herself.
