Even when maya was showing the scars on her body she was like 'iska kya sabut hai ki ye sab ayan ne kiya ho, hosakta hai Maya ne ya phir arjun ne'
Khud toh chilla chilla kar bolti rehti hai Maya ne hi kiya hai and all iske pass kya saboot hai
The most irritating and unprofessional lawyer have ever seen on tv 👏

What did she say wrong? Ayan told her that he did not touch Maya's back or chest. The police report would have said that she was fully clothed when they got there. How did Ayan leave those marks then?

What Saanjh initially said, that there was no proof that Ayaan broke the cameras, was actually correct.
But following that up with the comment that rape didn't take place, so it didn't matter...Now that was ridiculous and it damaged her case beyond repair.

when she said these lines and blamed them that they have no proof, did she had a proof that ayan didn't do that?

Well I have a thought regarding this. Because maya's dress that night had a deep back, almost backless. So in the haatapaai...obviously there may have been some injuries on the back. Which neither maya had to create nor anyone else. But all I wonder is how could those marks have Ayaan's DNA when we all have seen that he was always in front of maya while the whole maramari happened. Even if the marks on backs happened they could not have Ayaan's DNA. They may have occurred through other objects in the house.
And most importantly, a physical tussle can always create marks on someone. And women being more vulnerable actually can get hurt more easily. So, can some marks on her body and some DNA on them be enough to prove that the person was in for a rape? How are the intentions clear????
Until she's got some marks on her private parts. And in this case, if she at all has them, they are self inflicted. And they CANNOT have Ayaan's DNA because as you said, she was fully clothed. And even if she has marks on thighs, it's because her gown that night was split in the middle. And when she fell on the ground , injuries might have occurred.

So even if I believe maya hadn't inflicted the injuries she had shown to the court, question remains that similar injuries can occur in physical tussle too.? So why not be punished for that? Why attempt to rape?

Based on what was shown to us, Ayan didn't touch her in the back at all. Maybe she didn't inflict those injuries herself and got hit by some object or fell down. But there is no way they can show that it was done by Ayan. I don't think a couple of marks can prove that he attempted to rape her. As you said, if you are fighting with someone, you are bound to get some marks and bruises. But they just rushed everything so a lot of the logic doesn't make sense.

Even if we assume all the evidence to be true, at worst Ayan can be charged with physical assault.

^^ absolutely so.
I believe saanjh meant only that by saying Rape toh hua hi nhi hai.
Though I agree her dialogues were badly written. She should have said that these marks can even come from normal physical tussle. Why blame of rape?

What if, in the scuffle, Ayaan scratched her back? Like while trying to get a hold of her? She was wearing a backless dress.
Or maybe she got bruised when she fell?

Saanjh sure was a very incompetent lawyer. She could have easily made a very strong case. But she involved emotions, which lead to her losing the case.
She was really very arrogant, cocky and hypocritical.
Her frustration got the best of her.

exactly she may have gotten that injuries during the process and there is no way she or arjun might have done that.
@bold if saanjh have fought the case keeping in mind that it was an attempt to rape case against ayan and not against maya.
