@PlainJane I agree, she was really overconfident
And that's exactly which got me confused.
I mean when she was being interviewed, not only Saanjh supporters but also Maya supporters thought for a moment that she has grown, she has learned more, she has prepared herself in these 3 years.
But when she starts the case, you are in for a shock. I mean she started with Arjun implying Maya can handle any situation, even attempt to rape.
Then she says Maya is obsessed with her husband, which is completely true. But that wasn't even relevant.
She could not get any evidence except how Maya got off the plane.
She had told Samay not to come in the courtroom as he is the only thing that would go against Ayaan.
Again it wasn't the case. Prosecutor had more evidences against Ayaan than Saanjh could have ever guessed.
I simply don't understand this. What was she so confident about? I don't know cvs wanted to show.
They showed us such an amazingly confident Saanjh who was like "Sach wahi hai jahaan main hoon "
That only means that she has all the proof and evidence in her favour but that clearly was not the case.
I am not sure whether to blame the character for overconfidence or the writers for illogical writing.
@MissIamTheBoss that "rape hua toh nahi dialogue " really made me cringe. I am one such person who is ready for anything Maya, Arjun, Saanjh, Vandana or Ayaan can throw at us . When everyone was like how can Ayaan do this, I was kind of prepared, but I was not prepared for this kind of dialogue from a professional lawyer. Also when the prosecutor condemned her for saying that, her expressions were that of a teenager not in a mood of advice from her parents. That kind of showed she did not blabber it out of anger or something, she was ready to support it. That made me sick.
@Nithunavi Saanjh should have been a sensible character. But she lost all sensibility when she gave the key and kick theory.
I mean Ayaan lost the case, the moment Saanjh argued he was ready to rip her clothes apart.
And we all know that court do not take words as a proof of intent rather believes in actions.
Well one can never say what's in Maya's mind coz that is something even the god can't predict.
But imagine yourself, a girl who decides to put the keys in your garments to protect it. Then someone says "Main tumhe moonh dikhane layak nahi chodoonga " and starts tearing your clothes. If I was her, I would forget about the keys at that very moment, and think that this person is trying to rape me.
As for the kick theory, I really doubt it. Bcoz if it was true, if Ayaan was trying to get up or even if did not fall on Maya by choice, then when Samay pulled him up, why did he wanted to go and fall on her again??
The only way Saanjh could have helped Ayaan was by saying that Ayaan was beating Maya and clothes got torn in that hassle. Maya misinterpreted the incident. Then she could have used the broken cctv as evidence that Maya framed him.
As for Saanjh the lawyer, I think it was a shock for her when she got to know that something like 'attempt to rape' exists in Indian Law
