Zaira Wasim, who played Aamir Khan's on-screen daughter in Dangal, has won her first national award.

16-year-old Zaira has won the best supporting actress national award for Dangal.

Kashmir-born Zaira essayed the younger version of Commonwealth Games' gold medal-winning Indian wrestler Geeta Phogat in Dangal. Her performance was lauded by critics and audience alike.

I feel sorry for Suhani - she was equally good as Babita. I found more spark in her to be quite honest. And actually had more dialogues 😆

Poor thing is getting 0 recognition. Zaira even got Aamir's next Secret Superstar
