Hello dear friends...

I was just thinking how realisitc is ACHPM..I mean how realisitc is it too love someone soo much and yet still not be able to tell them about it. I mean Urmi and Sandeep are really close and spend soo much time but still they can't tell bring themselves to reveal their true feelings for each other..

Another thing, is it really realisitc that people living in the mohalla are soo close to each other. I mean in todays world is it really realisitc to have such relationships.

My question to you guys is that how realisitc is this drama?

good topic honey. i think the CG folks being so close to one another is more idealistic rather than realistic. they do have their small fights but always make up.
coming to sandy and urmi i think sandy's character is also idealistic. in today's world there will rare people like him who only give and never demand anything. urmi's character i feel is more realistic. coming to their relationship i feel even thats realistic...they not being able to tell each other. initially urmi wasnt sure about sandy's feelings and thats why i think she kept quiet as she didnt want to risk turning him away from her completely. later on when she was sure abt him she gave him lots of hints abt her feelings and encouraged him to speak up. her shyness i guess kept her from telling him directly. also he always discouraged her whenever he understood that a direct confession is coming.
as for sandy i guess one big reason he kept quiet is he is such a committment phobic thats not related to only urmi but any girl. also he is a very private person and doesnt share his feelings9or life) with anyone. he was happy flirting with urmi and seeing how it goes. he also felt that he doesnt deserve her. this attitude was there even before sujata's talk to him post-diwali. during the diwali episode i guess it was his awkwardness at discussing matters of the heart that kept making him postpone talking to urmi. given his character he not being able to/not talking to urmi gels.
what i like abt this show is everyone sticks to their character. so s/u not being able to tell each other is also in character so i feel its not unreal.

One "Sandeep" in each mohalla can make everything possible.

@kshreya2002 - I agree I think that it is rare to find people like Sandeep. I mean he is always doing things for other people and never ever asks for anything in return. I feel like with all the demands that other people put on him he is not able to give the proper attention to his own life..I feel like he will just blow up someday...lol...other then do people really have this type of realtionship in a mohalla type enviroment? I think that you would know better since you are actually from India. I know that they have their little fights but sometimes I can't believe that people have such close relationships with their neighbours. I mean here in Canada we only say "hi" and "bye" to our neighbours..Don't get me wrong but I love that they are soo close and all the people in the mohalla share such a close and loving relationship.

It just seems unrealistic especially in todays world...is it just me or does anyone else think that too?

excellent topic honey, like awalys, missed it.... 😉 ,
ok here goes........hmm.......there are 2 parts of this q.

1, muhalla love... well seethey all are simple ppl, who are not materialistic, see we are use to so much material things that we have forgotten simple things of life, n now we dont even knowwhat happiness is, to these ppl even the smallest happiness is treasured....while we ignore it, n yes to do exist in this world, somewhere, wish i would find such a muhalla....... 😉 .... They all are one, ya they have their ups and downs , nones perfect...

2, Sandeep is in debt to thw whole muhalla, very few ppl have conscience to remmeber what others have done for him.... hes just paying them back......in a good sense......they looked after him n now hes doing tht for them, protecting them, saving them from making mistakes and rescuing them n in this he forgets that he has a life too........

Urmi, welll she is scared to tell him, cause she wasnt sure he loves her, how can she go ntell him, i love u, if he would have said, idont then????? now since dwali she can see he loved her, till she went to shimla n he to agra.. now lets see what happens.....

Agree with u ksh ,
Vidya... 👏 👏 wish there was one sandy in each muhala hehehehhe 😆 😉 😳

Hi guys....I think the serial has some angles which are quite realistic...a middle class family in a small Indian city...very similar to Colonel Gunj folks....quite close..yet competitive...nice simple lives....in each others faces all the time...lots of security all around!!! Another aspect i have liked is the portrayal of sandeeps character...its very realistic..in day to day life things dont always fall into place at the drop of a hat..like in most other serials...people get together so easily...this is closer to reality..i mean sandeep is shy and slow in coming forward..which is quite typical of many men ....who are not willing to come fwd so easily especially to someone who they know with whom there will be a comitment involved and the girl has in some ways the upper hand. Even though i have complained of and on about why sandeep hasnt come fwd...i do feel its been shown beautifully!!!!!..needless to say i would now like things to move fwd.........

sometimes even i think the same...that some day he will just blow up to let off some steam. i mean they depend on him so much for even small things like setting up a laptop or driving the car. i think till now its been alright as sandeep doesnt have a family life. but when he marries it will be tough for him to go on like this.

as for close relationsship between neighbours yes it does exist in india. in small towns usually its mohallas and in bigger cities it maybe in the same appartment complex. but yes in some big cities like bangalore where there is lots of floating population there is more of a hi bye culture.

In CG not only sandy but everyone else is shown to have their heart at the right place. despite minor fights when things go out of hand each one is willing to compromise and make sacrifices. i dont think such attitude really exists. if they get along then fine otherwise they simply ignore their neighbours. so i guess CG is like a a shangri-la.
