Both Dev and Sona are too immature to hold a marriage.

This is what happens when physical attraction overtakes.

Dev should marry someone like Asha and Sona should marry someone like Jatin.

I would second Sona not remarrying Dev...
Don't bash me but how to get married to a person who wears rose tinted glass as far as his behaviour or family are concerned. Sona has her fault but she can be brought to the negotiation table but Dev...give me a break...no redemption.

If Dev and Sona get hitched again, then, the whole sob story from the beginning will start again. Please, I can't bear it.

For me, may it be Ritvik or Jatin, they seem to be better suited to Sona.

I don't think DevAkshi were solely responsible for the failure of their marriage. Yes, they too were, but were not the only ones responsible. It was mostly due to the people around them. Yes Sona said yesterday, the families never accepted each other truly. And then Dev's mother was one of the major reasons.

And talking about physical attraction, they didn't fall in love with each other due to physical attraction. They loved each other for their qualities. For the pure heart and the beautiful soul. Physical attraction never took over anything in DevAkshi's case.

And when you fall in love you don't really calculate the compatibility and every aspect of the person you are falling for. They were completely opposite to each other. But their pure hearts made them fall for each other.

I don't think Dev marrying a woman like Asha would have solved the problem.. His mother is still Ishwari... 😆 And about Jatin, Sona don't love him. She loved Dev and still love him. 😊 And at the end of it, a girl should marry the one she wants to. Sona married Dev as both of them wanted to marry each other, but the factors around them never let them to stay happy. At the end both of them failed.

My POV.

Hi leaves.I have seen you often in the JNDSD forum.

@Bold-No offence meant but I disagree there. That line actually demeans the entire essence of Dev and Sona's love.Dev and Sona were never a lusty couple.Their romance is as graceful and decent as it can get.Have you ever seen them getting overtly physical ? They hardly ever touch each other forcibly ...falling in love due to physical attraction was never the case. The problem with these two idiots is compatibility issues particularly from Dev's side.

Other than that I agree.

Bang on Jyo..agree with every word !
Even i do not thnk they were unfit for marriage..neither were they immature..families play an important role in our indian marriages...and as sona said yesterday for a marriage to wrk well in our society, the families too have to get along well, if not well, atleast shldnt create further problems for the couple...neither the girl can give up on her parents , nor the guy..as much as they love one another, they also love their parents and have a responsibility towars them..

One of the most common causes of arguments during the initial days of most marriages is when it comes to their families..they have lived wth their families for the past 20-30 yrs and its not easy for either one of them to let their F*Ly to b criticised..the level of understsnding is always different..the girl wldnt be able to unferstand her MIL as much d the guy understnds his mom, so what hurts the girl might not sound so bad to the boy coz he knows exctly what his parent meant or intended...and vice versa...so these issues are common in most mrried couples life esp durin the initial yrs when the trust n understanding is just developing..but in case of devkshi, unfortunatly, his mom was insecure to the level of not wanting her son to marry ...and that was the root cause of all the problems..and in real life too..such a scenario wld have ended up in a divorce unless the guy tkes a strong stand or decides to live separately but here dev clnt do that coz of the difficult past he had ..coz his mom is a widow , coz she bought him up facing lot of hardships so it was impossible for him to even thnk of leaving her..so wat other option did they have?? Another issue was the lack of proper communication betn them mainly coz of the fear of hurting one another...both loved each other immensly ..if only Sona , instead of bearing all he tortures alone, discussed it wth dev ..if only dev did not find temp solutions to keep everyone happy at the same time...if only !!

So what makes you thnk dev wld have been happy with someone like Asha...every individual has a tolerance level..Sona ws as understanding n patient as Asha initially ..but when issues piled up one after another, she lost her cool and that might have been the same wth Asha or any other girl...as long as Ishwari doesnt change , there is no scope for any girl to live happily with dev...and coming to Dev, being such a pure soul, he can never let go of his mother whatever she does..the max he can do it sacrifice his life n happiness which he did..

So both these people are jus perfect for one another , just that they were too gud to hurt their own families, hence they decided to hurt themselves !

Hey Dear..disagree abt the physical attraction...!There luv nvr started on that basis...It was not how Dev was hot or Sona attractive neither they lusted each othr for bodily pleasures...!!Looks nvr even mattered...

For Devakshi...it was pure understanding, care ,genuine concern, frendship ,love for their families, maturity that was the crux of their lovestory...Thry were attracted to each other on the basis of these qualities ...Physical was never even a thought here...

I remember the whole fandom was goin gaga when will they kiss during their courtship period...That nvr happened n thats how much pretty decent they were😆

Physical attraction is not about kissing or being too close like hugging passionately etc. in my opinion. It is about good looks. Both are very good looking and they were also thrown into each other;s company frequently that made him attracted towards each other.

As for unfit for marriage. Their childish behaviour even now. Impulsive reactions and tantrums. It is almost like watching Golu Suhana fights and arguments in the beginning.

Agree with all except physical attraction.
As much as I have issues with Dev, he never was into Sona for her physical attraction. He truly loved her then. I remember him saying that her thoughts make her beautiful and anything looks good on her. So, no it wasn't physical attraction from either side.

Rest all is true...Asha would have tolerated GKB,Vicky ,Ishwari and never stood against her own family's insults...Jatin will never insult Sona's family and he has no mother.
That way they would have been perfect partners.

Love doesn't happen according to the norms of any rule book. It just happens. You just like a person even with their imperfection. They might not be the person you have always imagined them to be yet you fall for them. All other people except this one person might be kind and compassionate to you. You just decide to let go of all the negativity and adjust yourself/that person for the happiness that the togetherness brings you, even if it is very little. I am not telling that Sona should sacrifice her self respect and live with Dev no matter what, but she loves him and he loves her and this fact cannot be changed. Had they voiced out their apprehensions and discomforts to each other and figured a way out of all the mess, they would have lived happily! People are imperfect, so is love! It never happens like it should.
