What an overwhelming and beautiful episode we had today. It was heartbreaking, it was emotional but most of all we saw that ViTharv's love, despite everything is still as strong as ever.
Sujata shot Suman.
As a wife and as a woman, Sujata has taken a lot of taunts and ridicule from Suman and society, but when it came to being a mother her protective instincts took over. When she saw that Suman was still trying to kill Atharv, she did not hesitate to shoot her remembering all the times Suman had harmed her son but this time, before Suman could hurt him again, Sujata killed her.
Ravish lost his mother today and it broke him. But deep down, he knew that he had lost something else too. His 'safe' and 'perfect' family. With Atharv coming back into their lives, relationships will be changed. Yes Ravish is still married to Vividha and he is still Madhav's father but he also knows that the feelings between Atharv and Vividha are as strong as ever. His tears were not only for what he had loss but what he may lose.
I've spoken about the love ViTharv have for each other so many times before, but watching them today just proved to me that no one will love each other like they do.
When Atharv managed to pull himself up off the ledge, he walked past everyone straight towards Vividha. His eyes and his heart saw only her. It was as if two souls who had been separate for the longest time were being pulled towards each other. And as Atharv stood facing Vividha, her hands automatically stretched up to caress his face and ask him why this was happening to them, oblivious to everyone else around them.
I think the ViTharv scene and the Atharv-Madhav scene will go down as my favourites.
My heart cried for Vitharv today. As Atharv walked into the room, Vivi sensed him coming and he knew that she could feel his presence too in the same way he could feel hers. While Vividha sat on the bed with her back to him, Atharv stood far away, and it took all of Vivi's self control not to run into his arms and pretend the last four years did not exist.
Tears ran down Vivi's face as she listened to Atharv tell her how he had felt all those years he was apart form her. He still hadn't got his memory back but his soul remembered her. He couldn't see her face clearly in his dreams but he could hear her because she had taken over his heart. Atharv went on to explain that Guddi had told him that he was not married to her and that he also knew Vivi had waited for him at the mandap four years ago but he had never turned up.
Vivi told him she was angry with him at the time for failing to show. And that she had tried to hate him for all those years he was away but even hate betrayed her. She explained that deep down she thought that she had made a mistake and that she should have waited for him but she hadn't understood him and she should have done.
Through his tears, Atharv asked Vivi if Madhav was their son. And just as he has a connection with Vivi, his son walked through the door just then calling him Papa. Asking his son to repeat the word over and over again, Atharv hugged the little boy tightly who told his father that he was the luckiest boy in the world as he had two fathers whilst Vivi cried uncontrollably for the father and son who had lost so much of time with each other.
And as the little boy left, Atharv told Vivi that he always thought she was a dream but she was actually his soul's desire. He didn't know who she was but his heart and breathing used to stop because even though you may not know who the person was, you just don't just stop loving them.
And Vivi broke. She couldn't help but run towards him, into his arms. But just as she was about to hug him, she stopped. She was married to Ravish, Atharv's brother, the man who had looked after her son and family for four years.
This time it wasn't the same as phase two where Vivi had been forced to marry and had only been Ravish's wife for three months and baby Atharv was in front of her eyes all the time. This time, she had asked Ravish to marry her. He had been her support and she couldn't just walk away and leave him for Atharv. He had just lost his mother. Yes Suman was an evil human being but she loved Ravish and he had loved her.
Vivi told Atharv that Ravish needed them both at this time and he understood. However, as they tried to look for Ravish, they could not find him.
In the pre-cap, Sujata was in court and Ravish came to give testimony.
This episode was heartbreaking and Vikram and Shivani and little Kabeer were absolutely brilliant today in their scenes. Shashank too was good in portraying how broken he was.
A beautiful episode, beautifully acted by all.
