As much as this lady disgusted me today from trying to pacify her ex-SIL who actually reminded the whole family of the slapping incident in their own house, rather than asking him to respect her husband to portraying an entirely out-of-the-blue, if not completely negative, a milder negative version of bijoy to her daughter, I get why she is so desperate.
In a few days her son will be married and is going to start a new life. She is actually smart enough to understand her daughter is a gone case who is all ready set to enter the torture chamber again. So, its better to get rid of the whole dixits and the ex-dixit family out of her family for once and for all. Then, at last she can lead a happy family with her husband, son and the future DIL. At least bijoy will be saved from ending up in hospital one day.
At last I've realized this truly is an unique show, where every feeling, every truth is portrayed from an antagonist point of view.
