Essay or Emapthic Task- Cambridg English

hey Guys,

What i wanted to ask was that, if you have taken the on the Cmabrigde English exams, they give you 3 essay topics and 1 emapathic task (creative writing style) for each text that is examines. well what i wanted to ask was, which option did you take, which do you find easier and which option gives you better marks??
