Yeh Rishta has always been a show close to reality and this violence/physical abuse is sadly a part of reality.
Think about the kind of family which she has come from. Goenkas are nothing like Singhanias or Maheshwari's. In Goenka house hold all woman except dadi seem to be second class citizens.
Naira was about to sacrifice her love, because BD kept on comparing her to Akshara and both Rama and BD kept on saying how much Gayu had lost and stuff. Imagine a sherni, a strong girl like Naira, can back out from taking her right, her love. So then a girl like Kirti who has been raised in the family like Goenkas, how can any of us expect her to raise her voice for herself, especially after she knows her family isn't going to support her, she had told dadi and dadi did nothing. Manish saw something wrong between creep and Kirti, yet simply thought, Kirti was not keeping creep happy.
Plus Kirti wants Karthik to get back home. One of the main reasons Karthik is at GV is dadi. If creep's truth is out. The fact that dadi knew it all along would be revealed too and this truth could separate Karthik from Goenkas forever.
I am not saying that Kirti is right, but she needs time.

I know some of you think this track is too disturbing but I don't know if any of you watched a show about a year ago called, "Doli Armaano Ki." It had Neha Marda and Mohit Mallik (as Samrat Singh Rathore) That was about a newly married girl and her dreams of what her wedding would be like. It was really a show based on heavy duty domestic violence I don't think YRKKH would show to that extent. The strange thing is that the main leading lady Neha Marda looked just like Kirti.
Just thinking about that show gives me the shivers. I can't wait for someone to beat the crap out of Keerti's husband and that can't happen soon enough. I don't want them to have a domestic violence storyline as it's been done before and it is not something original.
It's seems the industry has an infatuation with domestic violence but what they should be showing is women empowerment. I would love to see a strong Kirti.
