It is amazing how she plays chess with human beings around her as chess pieces on a board. We have seen multiple times how she cornered and checkmated Ashwin and even Ashwin could not keep up with her moves. This is a case where the student outplayed the master. Ashwin taught her the game but she became better at the game than Ashwin.
Jhanvi chose not to fight and she just became a weak pawn with no power and let Maya do whatever she wanted. Ashwin was a good player but had to surrender after many checkmates. Ashwin definitely deserved what he got atleast from what we have seen.
Maya knows how to eliminate every threat. She is very good at calculating 10 moves ahead when the opponent is not even aware she is planning. She is very good at setting the pieces right to plan the victim card in public. She has done that with Aswin, with Vandana, with Sanj and now with Arjun. She calculates possible moves that can be anticipated from the opponent, takes calculated risks and play the moves that gets her opponent where she wants them to be and make them behave how she wants them to behave.
Maya's anniversary microphone game was just to get the exact same reaction from Arjun. Now in public she is the victim and he is the oppressor. Only the 2 of them knows (I suspect not even Jhanvi knows) the real truth of who is the oppressor and who is the victim in reality. Now we all know Arjun is a duffer, I don't think he even realizes maya is sick. And he is right now playing maya'/ game the way Maya wants. Just like Vandana played Maya's game the way maya wanted. Just like Sanj and Suman played the game the way Maya wanted.
Maya is extremely intelligent and there is no one in the show today who can give her takkar. Not sure if Samay's role is intended to be the smart guy who can figure maya out. Any way from what I can see Arjun is headed for big trouble😆
