PART - 4
At Bose Mansion,
Sonakshi was in dilemma whether to attend the ball or not. One hand, she missed Dev and on the other hand, she is shy to dance in couples infront of everyone. But if she refuses to go, Elena would be left alone at ball and she doesn't want her sister to feel lonely. So she half-heartedly decided to accompany Elena and not dance.
Elena found her lost and asked: Where r u lost and why are standing still?
Sonakshi(finding excuses): Umm..i ..i was just thinking what to wear for the ball.. suggest me something Elena
Elena: Sona, ye tumpe bohut ache lagegi(she showed sonakshi a red dress)
Sonakshi instantly liked Elena's selection(excited): Wow, this is so beautiful. I'll get ready soon.. aur tum bhi!
Sonakshi got ready and Elena gave few touchups making her look perfectly flawless.
Elena(Making her stand): Sonuu!!! U look so pretty Beautiful. Nazar na lage and i dont know how many boys are gonna fall tonight(she giggled hitting sona's shoulder playfully)
Sonakshi: Oh shut up Elena. I dont want any attention. I am just gonna attend the ball that's it (She didn't want to say that she's coming just for elena..as she might get sad and drop her excitement)
Elena(teasily): Ohhh.. You're just gonna attend aand not dance? Let's calculate, who might become ur dancing partner? Uh? Koi tall, handsome, smart, charming ladka tume mile toh aaj ki raat mast mast niklega!
Sonakshi immediately drifted comparing the qualities of tall, handsome, smart, charming to Dev. Elena said purposely hinting the one person, who's probably making her sister go weak. Well, she isn't sure of it either. Once Sona came outta the thoughts, She was shocked at herself for even trying to match the qualities with her best friend Dev.
Trying to avoid the awkwardness, she asked Elena to go, get ready, as it's getting late already. Once Elena left picking a long gown, she went downstairs and waited in sofa for her to join.
Sitting alone didn't leave her to peacefully relax. Sonakshi's Heart and Mind started arguing over their confusions out,whether to go to party or be here at home.
(It's like she's caught between her Heart and her Mind)
Her Heart: The whole day you didn't see Dev. But am damn sure, he will be attending the ball and you will get a chance to meet him.
Mind: Nooo Sona, don't listen to your heart. It only gives you pain. You can't go there. Stay in home and stick to ur daily routine. Books usually make you happier than random funs and you should stay.
Heart(Protesting): Why? Why can't i go there? Am also a human and i deserve to get Happiness, love and affection other than books.
Mind: No U can't go there Sona. It's was you who decided in the morning, that you donot want to see Dev. And u should probably stick with ur decision, which is good for you.
Heart: Yes, I did say that. Bu.. but..
Mind: But what?
Heart: But later I missed him. Circumstances and situations at college made me miss him and want to see him. If he was present today, I would've happily stayed away from his presence. But things didn't turn as I decided.
Mind(smirking): Haha. You must be kidding. Tell me, are you worried for him? Why r u even worrying on his absence? It's good that u could keep urself away from distractions.
Heart: No, I can't do as you say. He is my friend and I do have rights to worry for his well-being.
Mind: Hmm exactly. That's what, I am trying to tell you. He is your friend. But u r behaving like you are in love with him and so is he!
Heart(shocked): What?? No no. Am just.. umm just.. he is.. just..um. he..Fri..(stammering) Forget it. Thanks for ur advice, but i need to leave soon so I could get a glimpse of Dev at the ball.
Mind: Woohoo what's the hurry? Answer me one thing before u fly off. Are you in love..?
Sonakshi came out of their argument saying: I..I. dont..dont know. Am.. in what? (Reality struck her) Offo! Meri Dil aur Dimaag Dono ek dum Bhoka!! Sona Stop thinking about Dev. You are going just to accompany Elena and for her happiness. Not to meet anyone else.Get it? Ab bas(she phewwwed)
Sonakshi saw Elena descending the stairs, wearing a beautiful orange long gown.
Sonakshi: Meri Elllee, you are looking damn Gorgeous babe. Ye tera killer look is definitely a treat for boys(winked at her).
Elena(Blushing): Oh really! Thank you ma'am. I really wanna look good, as it's my first ever ball! Am so excited. But ek min, u called me Gorgeous??! oh my god, what's wrong with my maid behen? Am i dreaming?(Sonakshi pinched her hard).
Elena(shouting): Uhhh.. Sona slowly, It's paining.
Sonakshi: Haha u deserve this. Ab Teri ye nautanki Chod aur chalo. Nautankibaaz kahi ke!(and she started walking towards the door)
Elena: Sona no lies.. But you're looking Gorgeous than me and am sure Dev's gonna definitely fall over for you!
As soon as when She heard Elena taking Dev's name, she stopped on her tracks,turned and questioned her: What? Why Dev? He is a friend Elena(and she gave a glare to her)
Elena: Arre i am just kidding..Why are you getting mad? As he is our univ's Best handsome boy and many girls die for his one smile and a HI to them, I used him name just to tease you.
Sonakshi(still not convinced): So what? Don't u have any other name to use instead of his?
Elena: Arre meri behena, I just took his name as it flashed before me. What's the big deal? Uh..chalo no problem. If you dont want him, then am ready.
She said dreaming unaware of the glares, She's receiving from her sister. Sonakshi was burning inside with jealousy as Elena was drooling over Dev, YET again.
'Ye ladki bhi na.. subhe bhi aur ab bhi. bas uske bhareme sochthi rehti', Sonakshi murmured to herself. But she doesn't know why she feels strange and a small smile appeared thinking of Elena's words, "you're looking Gorgeous than me and am sure Dev's gonna definitely fall over for you!"
Elena saw her smiling and thinks: Kuch toh zaroor gadbad hai. Mere plan ke hisaab se, Sona 3 baar paas ho chuki hi. Jab bhi Dev ka naam leti hoon, toh ye kahin koh jaati! Ab kuch karna padega. Iski wajah ko pata karna hoga..pehle toh kuch aesa nahi kiya ye! Let's see.
Elena shook her: Sona,where are you lost? You too dreaming just as me?
Sonakshi(coming outta her thoughts): Oh chup kar pagli. Kuch nahi. com'on let's move quickly.
Elena: Ohh Hoo Someone's much eager to go. Kis keliye.?(she winked at sonakshi)
Sonakshi(Glaring): Elena! Ab pls chalogi ma'am?
Elena(walking out): Haan ji, chale chale!
Sonakshi(rolling her eyes): Ufff ye pagal ladki bhi na!
They hopped in car and asked their driver to drive fast to the venue.

At University,
Vicky and Dev also got ready and came to the venue sharply. Both came in a Black tuxedo. Dev's face clearly showed the impatience to meet Sonakshi and he started walking fast towards the main door.
Vicky hurried ran and stood infront of Dev: Dev.. Dev.. Bhai STOP.. don't go now.
Dev turned around in fear and said: What Vicky? Anything's wrong?
Vicky laughed: Wait for sometime. We don't even know whether she arrived or not. Be patient and let her be patient. When I call u inside, tu entry maar. Ab yahan ghaadi me baith.
Dev: Vicky don't play yaar. I really need to go inside. I passed this whole day spending time all alone, without seeing My Sonakshi. Allow me in pls.
Vicky: Bhai Did u forget our plan?
Dev remembered, how vicky is supposed to notice whether Sonakshi is searching for Dev at the ball.
Dev: Ok you go first. Check and give a signal soon.
Vicky: Dev you are madly in love. Am going, I'll give a call(he winked at him)
Dev disappointed with the turns, turned and walked towards his car. Just then, Bose car arrived. But he didn't see their Car as many students were standing out. He sat in his car and waited impatiently.

Elena and sonakshi reached the ball. As Dev was sitting in his car at the parking lot, he didn't notice sonakshi's arrival. he waited for Vicky's order looking at the mobile holding it in his hands.
As soon as sonakshi entered the ball hall, her eyes searched for the one person and i.e Dev. She loved the arrangements and decorations made for the night. The balloons of red and white colors.The Ball had the interior know for its best outlook. Elena was excited when she saw the decorations all around. 'Beautiful',She mouthed. But Sona's heart was completely occupied with the thoughts of Dev. These decorations are only reminding her to look forward towards Dev's presence.
Nothing but the only thing she now wishes is, 'I want to see u now Dev. Where are you?', and she hoped to her best level of meeting him
