Here I am!At your doorstep, for the nth time..
Reliving all those memories..
When they flash before me, the good and bad
I am filled with a million emotions.
Some fill my heart with love, some pain.
Yet, here I am...
To experience one more emotion..
Of being a father..
At your doorstep again!
Such a lovely episode, right?
Loved how the writers have drawn a subtle parallel between what a girl goes through and what is Dev feeling right now!
Dev and Sonakshi have come a long way since they first met after 7 years.
What once was seen as demeaning and bitter in their hearts, has now been taken over by understanding and co-existence.
Today, When Bijoy was trying to ridicule Dev, Sonakshi without hesitance intervened to stop him. When he said Dev cannot re-enter her life, she clarified it was her decision as well!
She silenced Bijoy by saying, Apko ghar me kitna kaam hai , kyu ruke ho?đ
Way to go, Sonakshiđ Not because you quietened an over speaking Bijoy, but because you understand that complexity of the situation will only get worst if past and personal grudges are brought up. It is lovely to see you understand that it is between you and Dev, it should stay that way.
Dev,apart from admiring Asha as a cool mom (she surely is one)
Corrected Soha by saying..
"Mummy Papa dono ne kia hai"đł
Dev does acknowledge that if this compromise has been difficult for him, it is just as difficult for Sonakshi.
He also said it before Ishwari, that it was Sonakshi who suggested keeping Soha close to the familyđ
Dev- Sonakshi's coffee pe charcha was amazingđ
Feminism talks has been the writers' favorite topic lately! And I am glad that they intend to clarify the misconception about feminism.
Anyway, what I loved the most about it all was the little things which show how Dev and Sonakshi are completely depending upon each other for Soha.
â¤ď¸
Sonakshi is absolutely dependent on Dev when it comes to taking decisions for her, yesterday when Soha was going..She found herself helpless to stop her but she was sure Dev would have done something to solve the problem.
Sonakshi has blind faith in him when it comes to Soha.
And Dev, he is totally dependent on Sonakshi to understand the emotional aspects of his daughter. He always lets her take the lead when it comes to understanding what Soha goes through.
He has blind faith in her that she will (obviously) put her best for Soha.
In their relationships as parents, both take the lead in turns. Like we have in our families, The mother is the nurturer, the soft-hearted who understands her child best while Papa is the one whom a mother looks up to, to take the final call. To take the lead.
I love how closely-knit the family looks.đł
According to me, Sonakshi sitting on Dev's chair means quite obviously, that She is the one whom Dev is following when it comes to Soha.
It is Sonakshi's understanding(her sitting there) and Dev's decisions (his seat) that will make things work in this relationship.
Even though Dev might be the decision maker, he essentially is driven by Sonakshi's emotions!
The best part was Dev finally letting go of the societal chains, to break the stereotype and enter Sonakshi's house.
Like a girl has so many roles (a mother, a daughter, a sister, a DIL, A wife) a guy plays the same roles.
He remembers how their equation changed over time and the house witnessed it all..
"Boss, friend, boyfriend, pagal aashiq, pati aur ab Pita"
They did not leave any phaseđ
Even though Dev says, he enters only as Soha's father now..this automatically means reconnecting to all those roles he played in the past.
I am really looking forward to this track, has enormous possibilities.đł
