This post is solely dedicated to 1 of the most innocent characters from the show. The other one is definitely our Golu. But here i am talking about Suhana. Ms. Suhana Bose.

I agree the 6 year old is an extremely mature and understanding child for her age. She didn't let her wish of meeting her father to reach her mom in the fear that it may hurt her Mumma.

But then she met him and Sona too introduced him to her. She made her meet her father. Let her spend time with him. She told her all the positive things about Dev.

She always had a impression of her father being a good man. The only thing is he couldn't keep her mother happy.

Then she saw her parents together. She saw their care for eachother. She saw the concern. What will a 6 year old figure out from this? She's definitely gonna think that her parents are happy in each other's company. The way our innocent Golu told her, May be if they'll talk they may get back together.

This is how a mind of a minor works. They don't understand pretensions. They only see and understand what is infront of their eyes. And Soha did the same. By the end of the camp she thought her parents were happy. And she asked them to live together as she want to live with both of them. But they refused and she was sad and shattered. Every child would want his/her parents to stay together. Soha wanted the same... She couldn't find a reason for why are they not together, if they care for each other so much. Kids don't understand the complexity of relationships. And a 6 year old is way too small to understand all this. The only thing they understand is Katti-Batti. The way Golu told her that if DevAkshi will talk may be they'll get back together. They think these small things are the solutions to all the problems. Coz they have not seen the harsh reality yet.

She didn't understand why were they refusing. She cannot chose between them. She want to spend equal time with both of them. She want them to be together the way she has seen the parents of other children. But DevAkshi were not ready. Suhana got all the more confused and depressed. And when Sona asked her to promise to be happy always. She in order to keep her parents happy promised she won't force them and will be happy too.

Now this girl has never lied and she knew 1 thing that she won't be happy if her parents will not live together. Hence she decided to leave for Kolkata. And from here on everything started. The kid was not blackmailing her parents. She was just fulfilling her promise to be happy. 6 years old don't understand all these blackmailing things and all.

Then on another note... Sona wanted to make Soha understand and she could have tried one more time. But her father Mr. Bose agreed to Soha's demand to leave for Kolkata and booked their tickets for the same. What if Mr. Bijoy Bose would have tried to make Soha understand calmly? The scenario would have been different. Him getting ready to go to Kolkata with Soha ruined everything as Sona was not left with any option. Her father was being stubborn too here.

If he would have refused and tried to talk to Soha. She couldn't have done anything. Obviously the kid would not have gone to Kolkata alone. And Sona and Dev could talk to Soha again and make her understand the situation.

But at the end of it, they were left to take the decision then and there and they decided to give it a try for their child.

If an elder like Bijoy Bose can be so damn stubborn and was not listening to anybody, is it really fine to blame it on the 6 year old child that she was not acting her age?

I don't think so. And i still believe if Bijoy would have not readily agreed to leave for Kolkata along with Soha, the scenario would have been different as Sona would have got some time to make Soha understand.

And today when i saw the maturity of the 3 elders Ishwari Dixit, Bijoy Bose and Ex GKB... I don't expect either Soha or Golu to act mature.

This is solely my POV though.😊

Great post with many valid points. But i chose to differ on the subject that kids not knowing anything about blackmailing. They might not know the words 'blackmail' or 'hostage' or many but they attempt to do that every time to get out of an unpleasant situation. 'Give me a cookie, or i won't take a bath' '5 more mins of TV or i won't do the homework'. or the pleading and the puppy face. Most of them have all the tricks up their sleeves. We have all gone through this at the least once with our kids.rt. Saying no to kids in a composed manner is an art which is not easy to learn.
No explanation for Bijoy's behaviour whatever it was.

Excellent post

Yes 6 year olds cannot see any complexity in any relationship for them what they see is truth and every time Soha saw her parents together she was happy those moments were imprinted in her mind and she wanted more of it .
I'm glad acyually very happy that Dev and Sona came together took a decision that they can live together for their child however Bijoy and Ishwari both claim to love their grand daughter but none can truly see where her happiness lies

nice post Jyothi. i too agree with you, soha's demand is no way irrational. as a child she has every right to ask for her parents to be together .
honestly speaking if left to Dev and Sona without the respective parents, they would not have drifted apart that easily. they were a couple madly in love with each other, respected each other inspite of their differences. the constant interference of over insecure and over protective parents was a main reason in breaking them apart.

hope this phase of co-parenting will give them the necessary strength to shut out their parents from their lives for once. i am not saying they need to disrespect them or revolt against them, but they do need to draw a line when the care of their parents becomes overly interfering.

Obviously di... Sahi kaha... Kids kya.. Kabhi kabhi hum bhi nhi samajh pate the complicated relationships... Its so annoying sometimes... In fact dev sona also nvr understood that thr relationship was also a complex one and not a smooth flow... If they would have things would had been different... She intended to stay happy away from them.. And i can understand that..
Beautiful post di with many solid points... Thank you

Beautiful post 😃
Suhana Bose was acting like 6 year old girl finally. Happy to see suhana behaving like a 6 year old kid.
A child always wants to stay parents until and unless she or he witness unpleasant experience.
You have pointed out a brilliant point - Suhana don't understand the complexity of the relationship but only her mental level is kaati- baati type😃. When she saw her parents are almost like any other parents , then the desire to stay as family feelings becomes strong in her mind.
It is most natural feeling of the universe.

Recently I have worked with disable young kids- When they were asked what is the most traumasting factor of their life?
Answer was not by one but by all - When our parents are fighting with each other. We want to stay with our parents and don't want to choose one.

Soha was always shown as understanding daughter to her mother.dev's photocopy.
Yesterday whn she decided to leave her mother jus becoz she denied to fulfill her demand ,wht was irked me.tht doesn't go wid soha's character.till now dev is unable to leave his mother,he can also feel ishwari's pain...i was unable believe soha colud do something like dis.whn i saw d segment earlier i didn't think cvs ll executive in dis manner.

Wasn't soha's act punishment for sona who fought wid herself so tht her daughter could get all happiness, sona always had fear of losing soha becoz of ishwari.
Tomorrow i won't be surprised if soha falls in ishwari's manipulation and blame bose family for d reason of her parents separation.
Soha decided to leave sona. Dev's few days of love for her daughter won infront of sona's 6 years of love.their bond was so weak.cvs r butchering soha's character too.

Jyoti.. really nice post. I loved these lines in particular
"Him getting ready to go to Kolkata with Soha ruined everything as Sona was not left with any option. Her father was being stubborn too here.

If he would have refused and tried to talk to Soha. She couldn't have done anything. Obviously the kid would not have gone to Kolkata alone. And Sona and Dev could talk to Soha again and make her understand the situation.

I don't think so. And i still believe if Bijoy would have not readily agreed to leave for Kolkata along with Soha, the scenario would have been different as Sona would have got some time to make Soha understand."

they absolutely resonate with my thought process. Bijoy wishes that Sona and Soha view Dev like the monster, but they don't. Bijoy has his reasons for extreme dislike and they were all triggered by what Dev did with Sona earlier.
But he needs to now reconcile to the fact that his girls like Dev and want to be with him.
