comment for chapter 5
first off all i am in love with this tattoo idea, just because i am also a tattoo lover, not too much, but only 1 because it gives me the classy look that i love...
okay but now talking about this chapter, the first thing i liked was the line
' He needed to protect her '. ' He need her '
Just like I earlier said, it is pain that will connect them.
So she saw the tattoo on his arm,hmm i hope that she will realize that maybe the Omkara has also pain that he wants to hide...
Waiting for the story to shape up
Loved this different take on the current rikara track👍🏼 Enjoying the plot. Update soon.

Eeepss..Tattoo. Dude ,I was literally revolving around this scene of FL having a tattoo for quite some time and was swinging back and forth so as to where to put it ,I have few situations...You are already on it!!
I'm starting to get attached to G here, she is definitely the kind of girl I like...
Tattoo became another thing to connect them... Similar to pain ,ironically tattoo also causes physical pain...
Update soon...This was mindblowing ,amazing and what not

The chappy was fab as usual and I loved it... It's just that I can't get enough of this story.. The more I read the more addicted I get to this story... It's just beautiful.. Have heard opposites attract... But pain... Yes it attracts too... But this attraction is beautiful and treacherous at the same time... You as usual beautifully portrayed Ri and her past... Her fear of fire is beautifully put forth and the best part is you've a reason for her every behavior no loopholes and that just makes me want to read more. Loved the tatoo description you gave that people have their own reasons ... And hers were scars... Loved the connection you've drawn between Ri and fire... Her small talk with her so called idiotic uncle gives a glimpses of how deep her scars are... So she has been trying to ignore Om... Par phir Jo hona hai voh toh home rahega... Ri is adamant not to face him because he has entered a forbidden zone he has seen the vulnerable her.. Which no one's allowed to see... What about her torture plan?? Is it cancelled??? Huh! Loved the word Thatnos for Om the opposite for Eros. But then both have high thantos levels from where will Eros come ??? Hmm Will have to wait and read... Loved the way you showed that each time she has a breakdown he's right there to witness it.. It's all a game being played by fate... He knows he was wrong on making a quick judgment about her... But it seems that Om has found his new drug Ri to calm the devil's inside him... Om has come here for business and bechari RI she is probably pissed off and happy that he is not interested in her. Pissed off cause no one ignores her and happy because no one should know the real her..I loved this story because it has a deep and philosophical notion... PS I was on full serious mode while reading but the word static made me smile it just reminded me.of the show defensive Om...😃 Plz continue asap and thanks for the update
I just love how you write this. ❤️
Here we go to chapter six, the story is picking up now. I'm apologetic about the length of chapters, but I really can't work on anything longer than this at the moment. Hopefully you will enjoy!!😊
Chapter 6
Clash
Cowards run, while the brave chase. Ri could not recall who had told her that, but was sure it was so long ago, when she had been anything but a child. She was not a coward, hence she did not run. Instead, she stood there, leaning against the dark gray pillar outside the tattoo pallor, scowling at the untimely rain that was pouring down on the asphalt. She would not let him think she was some kind of a weak girl. A lightening flashed across the angry purple sky, highlighting the silver of the clouds as Omkara stepped out. He did not notice her immediately, instead he walked to the car he had parked a few feet away, unmindful of the rainwater that ran down his face.
"I need a ride," she called after him, still glaring straight ahead and in a bossy tone.
"Get in," he replied in a equally careless note, neither stopping not turning around to look at her as he opened the car door and disappeared inside. Ri did not move, as she watched him, her eyes narrowed and hands on her hips. The person who said that Shivay Singh Oberoi had a huge attitude problem surely never met this brother of his. Ri snorted. Maybe it was a family problem.
Omkara caught himself admiring her from his rear mirror. She stood there sheltered from the rain, her view blurred from the endlessly pouring shower, her hands on her hips. She did not make a move to walk towards the car and simply stood there glaring at it. Omkara was no fool, he knew straight away that asking for this favor had some ulterior motive most probably like the juvenile stunt she pulled at the poolside the other day. She did not seem like a girl who had a problem in finding her way back. He would not have minded either, under different circumstances, but this was not a place he would willingly leave her stranded. The engine purred, as he honked twice, still watching her reaction from the mirror.
Ri pursed her lips, fisting her hands. She would not run behind him, even if he was the last option of reaching home. Even if she had plans of teaching him a lesson. But by then she knew, he was not going to reverse for her. She had realized it a long before that wooing Omkara was not a child's play. Her charms did not matter two hoots to him and he had an ego that was no smaller than hers. From a silly game it had turned into a battle of egos and she would not win without sacrifices. He honked again, exhaling deeply, Ri marched towards the car. Before she pulled it open herself, he pushed the door open for her. Ri pulled it shut as she settled down, with a furious snap. The car smoothly glided away from the shabby tattoo shop.
Ri stared ahead, watching Omkara from her peripheral vision. Strands of wet hair were plastered to the sides of his neck, raindrops dangled from their free ends. Ri gulped a knot in her throat, her eyes chasing the path of a particular raindrop trailing down his chiseled jaw and along his throat, vanishing into his collar.
He slammed the breaks suddenly, making her jerk out of her trance.
"Finished?" He asked, still looking ahead. Ri looked around, realizing they were waiting for the signals to change.
"What?" She shrugged rubbing her hands together.
"Checking me out?"
"Huh!" She snorted, hugging herself. "As if...!"
She was about to say more, when his mobile buzzed and he adjusted his Bluetooth, the signals changed to green.
"Yes, Mr. Oberoi..."
Ri raised her eyebrows, Mr. Oberoi? She looked at him, frowning and saw that his expression had changed. He was gritting his teeth listening to the other side. The conversation was bitter, and restricted to short one word answers. Ri tuned it out, snuggling comfortably in the passenger seat and watched with satisfaction as the caller irritated the hell out of Omkara.
He must really hate this person, she thought to herself her lips twitching. That means there were more entries on his haters list other than her. Huh, judgmental saint!
"Kaun hai wo?" She did not realize that she had spoken out loud.
"My mother's husband," said Omkara, increasing the speed. Ri raised her eyebrows feeling the vibrations from the engine against her pulse. The speed with it brought a strange reeling sensation.
"Then why aren't you calling him dad?" The moment she said it, Ri knew it was a stupid question. Omkara's dark eyes flashed at her, before he reined his gaze to the front once more.
"Why won't you call Ragav, Dad?"
"He is not my father," although she hated to admit it, her tone was defensive.
"I'm not his son," he said with a tilt of his head.
There was a pause in which they stared at each other. Each with an unreadable expression trying to read the other.
"People who get offended with truth should not try to find it," Ri said cynically, watching the effect of her words on his features. For some reason, she liked railing him on, watching him fight to keep his cool.
"People who are hiding truth should not run and alert others."
"Touche," Ri remarked, with a sarcastic smile. "If you weren't so good we could have been friends," she said honestly. Omkara looked at her, his expression curious once more.
"If you weren't hell bent on being bad, perhaps we would."
Ri giggled.
"You really are something Omkara Singh Oberoi," she laughed. "But I'm sure I might have liked you better a few years back." She caught his eyes and her lips twisted into a grin. "You see I prefer bad boys."
"You should be careful what you wish for Gauri Kumari Sharma," he said slowly, tasting her name on his tongue. The grin died on Ri's lips. There was something about his tone that froze her expression. "You really have no idea what you're getting into." The moment he said it, she knew there conversation was no longer limited to befriending each other. He was talking about her lifestyle, her choices.
"Oooh," cooed Ri. "I'm really scared now!" She leaned across her seat, eyes boring into his gaze. "I don't need a guardian angel Omkara, I'm not one of those damsels in distress. You can bestow your charity somewhere else." The car bumped to a stop at her gate yet he did not tear his gaze away. Her eyes burned with frustration at his opinion of her and he found it strangely mesmerizing. "You have business with Ragav, do it but keep your gorgeous nose out of my business."
Her hair slapped against his face as she turned and opened the door to get out. His nostrils caught a whiff of mint and lavender and instinctively he stretched out a hand and caught her wrist. Her espresso eyes snapped back to meet his gaze.
"I have no plans of playing your knight," he said darkly. "But that path you're taking ends up in my pit of hell."
She tugged her hand, trying to pull it out of his grasp, his fingers only pressed into the softness of her forearm, with the ease and practice of molding clay.
"Good night Gauri," with that he let her go, his fingers caressing the back of her palm as they slid away from their original position. Ri watched him with wide eyes, bewildered by his words and actions. Omkara smiled slowly, watching the shrinking image of the girl in his side mirror as the car pulled away. She had no right to mess with his thoughts, make him worry for her and then scot free, unscathed. He had never let any woman take that level of control over his emotions, but with Gauri it had caught him unaware. By the time he realized it, she had already seeped into the fabric of his subconscious, taking a prominent part of his conscious thoughts.
Omkara liked being in control. He had been, in all his relationships. Although not always the other party was aware of the fact. But for the first time he felt his control slipping and instinct taking over. He had no control over the absolute pull he felt towards her. It was not love, per say; this was a fire he had never tasted before. The want, the need and the possessiveness he felt almost scared him. No one deserves to have that kind of effect on anyone in just a couple of meetings.
Ri stumbled backwards and leaned absentmindedly against the high cold bars of the closed gate. Who was seducing whom again? She was surprised with her own reaction, the escalating beat of her heart. He had not done anything. She told herself. Just a brush of fingers, nothing more. It was not like Ri never had anything more - heck - she had been kissed before! But it was different with Omkara. Every faint touch felt like a surge of current, intense like liquid fire. Her throat burned and skin was on fire - and that fellow just drove away, like it meant nothing for him.
She placed a hand over her own heart, like a teenage girl who was experiencing her first crush and gulped a few calming breaths. She can't let this happen! She needed help! Exhaling deeply, she pulled her mobile out of her pocket and skimmed through her contacts before ringing a particular one.
"Hello?" A sleepy female picked up. "Who's dead now?"
"No one yet, what would you have for dinner Sumo?"
