Fabulous updates. 11C is very nail biting. Geet has MPD and Preet has emerged out of her singing a beautiful song. NT played her part well though . Maan is so helpless and emotionally broken . Hope Geet didn't hear anything what Maan spoke out of despair. Loved it.

CHAPTER 13. AND THEY MEET AGAIN

Previously on Kaun Ho Tum?

Maan walked out of the study as Dev and NT sat down nearby waiting for Maan to come back. Suddenly Maan came running back, his face pale, sweat on his forehead and a paper clenched in his fist tightly.

"Maan?", Dev stood up in alarm. NT followed. Maan looked at Dev as if he had lost every happiness in his life. And when he opened his mouth, Dev and NT paled too.

"Geet!", Maan spoke haltingly, "Geet left me... forever... she is not coming back...!"

Dev and NT could only look at Maan in shock. Dev broke the silence, "What? What are you saying?"

Maan stumbled forward and then sunk into a chair. The paper he held in his hand slipped to the floor and Dev grabbed it. NT looked worriedly at Maan and then at Dev.

"Maan,", Dev read the letter out loud, "Main ghar chodke jaa rahi hun. Peechle ek hafte mein maine sach jaan liye hai, Maan. You don't love me. Aap mujhse pyaar nahi karte. Aur isliye main yeh ghar chodke jaa rahi hun. Jahaan meri garaj nahi, wahaan main nahi rukungi. Bas mujhe kuch waqt deejiye, yeh sach mere ghar waalon ko bataane ke liye. Mujhse nahi hoga itni aasaani se unki muskuraahat cheen na! Bas kuch waqt chaahiye! Phir main aapko divorce de dungi! Tab tak iss toote rishte ko aur thoda nibha deejiye! Aur haan, Daadima ki aap fikar na karein! Unhein bhi main samjha dungi! Aap bas khush rahiye! Mujhe aur kuch nahi chaahiye! Aapki Geet!"

There was silence for few minutes in the room and then NT spoke up, "Sab theek ho jaayega Veerji! Aap fikar mat keejiye!"

"Kaise fikar na karun NT? Kaise?", Maan looked at her with anguished eyes, "She is leaving me dammit! And I can't do anything! She left me. Aur mujhe pata hai, usne mujhe isliye choda kyunki main use patni ka haq nahi deta! Lekin use kaise bataaun ki mere paas valid reason hai mere actions ke! Kaise bataaun uske saath raat ko kya hota hai?"

Dev and NT shared a worried look. For few seconds there was a silence. Just as Dev opened his mouth to try and console Maan, someone interrupted him.

"Arre! Sab itne serious kyun hai yahaan? Kuch hua kya?", a voice interrupted them and they turned to see Daadima standing at the door smiling at them.

"Daadima!", NT took a few steps ahead with pain on her face, "Geet chali gayi!"

Daadima let out a chuckle, "Arre baba! Of course chali gayi! Woh kaisi rukti yahaan?"

Maan, Dev and NT looked at Daadima in horror. Does that mean Daadima knows why Geet left? How did she know?

Oblivious to the turmoil she created, Daadima continued to speak, "Uska bhai aaya tha! Brij aaya tha use pagphere ke liye le jaane! Toh kaise rukti woh?"

NT heaved a sigh of relief while Dev and Maan shared a calm look.

"Waise aap log itne shocked kyun lag rahe hain? Geet ne aap logon se bye nahi kahaa? Aayi toh thi iss taraf! Keh rahi thi ki Maan, Dev aur NT ko bye bolke aati hun! Nahi aayi kya? Usne toh bola bhi tha ki woh aap sabko mil chuki hai!"

Realisation dawned on Maan's, Dev's and Geet's faces. She must have overheard Maan's words about wishing to not meet her. That is the only reason behind her letter and sudden leaving. Oh God!

Dev spoke up, "Uh... She came Daadimom! She said her byes too." He snuck a glance at Maan hoping that Maan didn't give the truth away. But Maan kept quiet.

"Toh sabne itne udaas kyun hai?", Daadima wondered.

Dev gave a fake laugh, "Daadimom! In last few days, we have become so close to Geet, that we are missing her. And you know Maan. He is mad for Geet and can't stay away from her. So... You see..." He shrugged and Daadima smiled, "Haan bhai! Geet ke baghair toh humein bhi chain nahi! Lekin bas kuch din aur! Phir Maan bete, tum Geet ko ghar le aana!"

"Nahi Daadima!", Maan spoke up for the first time since Daadima came into the room. Dev and NT frowned. Daadima looked taken aback. Maan stood up, "Main kal hi jaa raha hun! Use lene ke liye!"

"Kya?", Daadima asked.

Maan nodded, "Haan! Pagphera matlab ladki maayka jaati hai, toh hogaya uska pagphera ghar jaake! That's it! Ritual khatam! So she is coming home tomorrow!"

Daadima looked at him amused, "O ho! Maan bete! Apne biwi ki baghair nahi reh sakte? Oye hoye! Ek kaam karte hain! Hum bhi chalte hain! Waise bhi hum Geet ke parivar waalon ko bada miss kar rahe hain! Hum bhi unse mil aate hain!" Maan nodded and Daadima walked away.

Once Daadima left, Maan spoke up, "I love her guys! I love her crazily. And you were right. I cannot leave her alone now. I will go after her and I will do anything and everything to convince her that I love her too and I don't regret marrying her."

"Good idea Maan! Chalo! I will also come with you!", Dev replied.

"What? Why?", Maan blurted out in surprise.

Dev frowned, "I want to see the house where you met Preet for the first time. There has to be some clue behind why Preet was staying in such a random lodge! Its way too random. I have to check the house. Also I need to see Geet and Preet in original habitat!"

Maan nodded in agreement.

"Hum bhi aayenge!", NT piped in.

"Achcha?", Dev spoke up in teasing way, "Mujhe toh laga tha ki tum Preet se bahut darti ho!"

NT narrowed her eyes at him and the huffed, "Humein toh aana hi tha! I have my own mystery to solve!"

"Mystery? What mystery?", Dev asked as he shared a confused glance with Maan.

NT smirked, "I want to know. Ki yeh Preet har waqt aise gaane hi kyun gaati hai jo 70s ke pehle ka hai! Hmmm..."

Maan and Dev's jaws dropped open and they looked at NT incredulously. NT flounced away and Maan and Dev could only shake their heads.

Next day morning, at the house of Handas, Geet stood watching the fields from her terrace. Her expression was sad and she simply stared out.

"Sab khairiyat haina Geet?", Brij spoke up from behind her and Geet turned around. Brij smiled at her and Geet gave a small smile before turning back.

"Kyunki Geet, tu jab se aayi badi udaas hai!", Brij continued.

"Main theek hun Veerji!", Geet replied.

"Achcha?", Brij persisted.

Geet turned and gave him a wide smile, "Dekho! Main theek hun!"

She turned back and leaned against the parapet.

"Geet! Tu duniya ko ullu bana sakti hai Geet, ghar waalon ko bhi, par mennu nahi!", Brij commented and Geet froze. Hey Babaji! I hope he doesn't know the truth. Just then a voice interrupted them.

"Brij! Bas kar puttar! Geet ko sataana band kar! Aur rahi baat uski udaasi ki toh Geet toh udaas hogi hi na!", Rano spoke as she entered the terrace with wet clothes filled bucket in her hand. Geet moved to help her and between two of them, they started to hang the clothes on the clothes line in the terrace.

"Matlab?", Brij frowned as he turned to his mother. Geet kept her head down trying to focus on the clothes.

Rano chuckled, "Arre! Naya naya vyaah hua hai jise ek mahine bhi hua nahi aur dono juda hogaye! Toh Geet toh udaas hogi hi na! Main sahi boli na puttar?", Rani turned to her daughter. Geet smiled a little but kept her focus on the clothes.

"Geet puttar! Tu fikar mat kar! Bas kuch din ki baat hai! Aur phir tu waapis apne unke naal hogi!", Rani commented.

Geet nodded but she sighed. Tennu pata nahi Ma! Lekin yeh kabhi nahi hoga!

Once all the clothes were hanged, Rano moved to check on red chillies she had left to dry on the terrace. Brij got a phone call and was focusing on it. Geet turned back to the fields that stretched for miles in front of the house. Just then her eyes focused on the road leading towards the house and her eyes widened. No! It cannot be! It simply cannot be! But it was! A Jeep was coming towards the house with Maan in driving seat, Daadima sitting beside him and NT and Dev sitting in the back. Geet didn't realise but she was grinning widely at the sight of her family.

Brij blinked as suddenly his sister smiled widely. He hadn't seen this smile since they left Khurana Mansion a day before. Brij turned to look at where Geet was staring and he also grinned.

"Mummyji! Lagta hai Maan Jijaji ki bhi haalat Geet jaise hi hui hai!", Brij shouted.

"Kyun?", Rano looked up from her work curiously. Brij pointed to the road while grinning at her, "Kyunki woh Geet ko lene kuch din baad nahi, aaj hi aagaye!"

"Kya?", Rano's eyes widened and she scrambled towards the edge of the terrace. She chuckled when she saw the whole Khurana family coming towards the Handa House.

"Ki baat hai puttar! Kya jaadu kiya hai tu ne apne unpe ki aaj hi tennu lene waste aagaye?", Rano teased her daughter. Geet felt excitement bubble inside her. Maan mennu lene aaye hain? Her heart thudded fast in her chest but then she remembered what happened the day before and her excitement dimmed.

The Day before...

Geet trudged up the stairs and to the study excitedly. She was going to meet her family soon! But side by side, there was sadness too. She was leaving her new family for few days. Sigh! She reached the study and was about to enter when Maan spoke something that chilled her to her core.

... I do wish I NEVER MARRIED GEET OR EVEN MET HER!", Maan roared and Geet stumbled back in shock. Yeh Maan ne kya bol diya!

Inside, Dev spoke, "You didn't mean that Maan, right? You didn't mean that!" Geet felt tears well up in her eyes. Haan Maan! Tell me you didn't mean it! The ensuing silence gave her her answer. She took a deep breath and ran to her room. She packed her bags and then she went to the washroom and made sure there wasn't any sign of her tears. Then she walked downstairs and told Daadima and Brij that she had said her goodbyes. When Daadima asked her why Maan wasn't down to send her off, Geet replied that she had asked Maan not to send her off as she felt it would be painful for both of them. Daadima had agreed and off went Geet and Brij to Hoshiarpur.

Back to the Present...

"Geet! Tu kis khayaalon mein khoyi hai? Chal! Neeche chal! Jamaaiji ghar ke andar aa chuke hain!", Rano's voice came and Geet came out of her thoughts. She turned and walked towards the door. By the time, Geet reached down, NT and Dev had been introduced to the family and now both the families sat chatting in the living room.

Just then Maan's eyes looked up and met Geet's eyes. Geet felt her breath leave at the expression on his face and she looked away. She walked towards her family, hugged Daadima, smiled at NT and Dev but not once gave a glance to Maan. Maan kept on looking at her longingly but Geet didn't spare him any glance. She simply focused on the elders talking.

Soon Rano asked them all to take rest as they had a long drive. She ordered Brij to show them all to their rooms. Later, Geet was heading towards Daadima to talk to her when her hand was grabbed and she was pulled into the storage room. She opened her mouth to scream but a hand was placed on her mouth and she came face to face with her husband. Her eyes widened and she watched as her husband smirked. She pushed his hand away in annoyance.

"Yeh kya mazaak hai?", Geet growled. Maan grabbed her by her waist and pulled her close. He smirked, "Mazaak? Mazaak toh tumne mera banaa rakha hai! Aise koi apne pati ko chodke aata hai bhala?"

Geet tried to push his hands away but his hands only kept on tightening around her. Once she was snugly fit against his body, Geet stopped pushing him away, "Main aapko chodun nahi toh kya karun?", Geet lashed out, "You were the one who said you wished you never married me or even met me. Remember?", Geet snarled.

Maan let out a chuckle, "You are such a fool Geet!"

"Matlab?", Geet looked indignant.

Maan was amused, "Arre! Has no one taught you that you are not supposed to eavesdrop on people? It can be dangerous! Or that half knowledge can be dangerous than ignorance?"

"Matlab?", Geet was curious.

"Matlab my beloved Geet, you heard something else and you concluded something else and your action was based on that! Samjhi?"

Geet's jaw dropped open, "Matlab? You never meant what you said?"

"Of course not Geet! I love you! Paagalon jitna pyaar karta hun tumse! Jee nahi sakta tumhaare baghair!", Maan spoke up.

"Sachchi?", Geet asked tearfully.

Maan wiped her eyes and then nodded.

Geet smiled and hugged him tightly. Maan hugged her back. After few seconds, they leaned back. Their eyes clashed and suddenly the atmosphere got charged. The emotional moment turned into something intimate. Both leaned forward eager to come closer. Just as their lips were about to touch, Brij's voice echoed from somewhere, "Geet! Kitthe hai? Khaana lag gaya hai! Jaldi aa!"

Geet jerked back and Maan winced. They looked at each other and both grinned sheepishly.

"Ji aayi!", Geet shouted back.

"Jaldi aa! Aur haan! Jijaji ko bhi dhoondh la!", Brij shouted and then seemed to be mumbling to himself, "Pata nahi kitthe chale gaye!"

Maan and Geet shared a chuckle. Maan grabbed Geet's hand and both walked away for lunch.

Lovely update Kya kalpana u scared me geet had heard maans words and thought he doesn't love her so she left him writing a letter maan was shattered he loved geet madly and doesn't want to let her go so when Dadi came he decided to go hp and bring her back Dadi and rest of family went to take geet loved how nt wanted to know why Preet songs old songs while dev wanted to know more abt Preet geet was gloomy and sad thinking abt maan words though she was shocked surprise and excited to see maan but she totally ignore him maan couldn't take it and dragged her away confessing how much he loves her geet was happy and finally judaai over

tq for the update. its good that they cleared their misunderstanding. maan told that he loves her. its the right place to solve the mystery in its place. good going. update soon
