Roshni held Sidharth arm tightly. Fear started to flow through her veins.
He could feel her hands shaking in an odd trembling rhythm, and watched the colour drain from her face.
Sidharth gently placed his hand on hers, and she startled under his touch.
Her eyes looked up to meet with Sidharth.
"Are you okay Roshni..." Sid asked concerned.
It took a moment...
"Yes I'm fine Sidharth" replied a trembling Roshni.
Sidharth looked at her. There was unknown pain in her eyes.
He knew deep in his bones that something wasn't right.
He turned his sights back to Dev.
He had a gut feeling, that this Dev was bad news.
There was something about him that Sidharth did not like.
Dev walked towards them, and glanced at Roshni and smiled.
"Soniya and Roshni ... it's been a long time"
Dev said unable to shift his gaze from Roshni.
"Not long enough Dev" snapped back Soniya
Sid and Rahul looked at each other shocked
by Soniya reaction.
"Hahaha Soniya you haven't changed a bit.
Still your sarcastic self" ridiculed Dev.
"And your still a creep" retorted Soniya
"Whatever. .."
Ignoring Soniya, he shifted his sights back to Roshni.
His eyes sailed over her body..
"You look even more beautiful than the last time I saw you Roshni"
Roshni grip became tighter around Sidharth arm.
A sudden surge of anger arose within Sidharth, and he clenched his fists hard.
He was finding it hard to control his temper.
The way Dev looked at his Roshni, infuriated him.
It took every inch of self control, to prevent himself from punching him there and then.
Sidharth moved in front of Roshni, as if to shield her from his piercing stare.
"I'm Sidharth Khurana, Roshni husband"
Dev looked at him, shocked.
"I see, I had no idea that Roshni was married".
Rita quickly stepped forward and formally introduced her husband Dev to Rahul and Sid.
"Sidharth and Roshni got married a couple of days ago. It was all over the papers Honey.
Don't you think they really look cute together" Rita said holding Dev arm.
Dev looked back at Roshni. He wasn't happy.
"Well in that case, Congratulations to you both" his voice had hardened.
He took out a cigarette and began to smoke, as if to calm his nerves.
Dev held out the cigarette packet.
"No thanks" replied Sidharth "I don't smoke".
"That's shame... but I suppose it is a bad habit"
Looking at Roshni again
"But I love bad habits".
Soniya had had enough, she grabbed Roshni hand.
"Roshni let's go, we need to talk".
Sid watched as Roshni slowly let go of his arm and walked away with Soniya.
Sidharth turned back to Dev.
Sid was about to question him when Dev interupted.
"Well guys please excuse me, I need to unwind, it was a long journey. See you guys later".
Dev made his exit.
"There's something not right about this Dev" observed Rahul.
Sid shook his head side to side.
"There's something about him...I didn't like the vibe I got from him.
Especially the way he looked at Roshni, I wanted to rip him apart" replied Sid still clenching his fists.
"I know Bro... and the way Roshni and Soniya reacted when they saw him, weird".
"Roshni was so frightened... Did you see how she was behaving, and Soniya attitude. ..
Something not right yaar... but kya".
Sidharth needed to know.
"There's only one person who can tell us, and that's Soniya. Don't worry Bro, I'll talk to her" Rahul said as he left.

Soniya paced up and down her tent, whilst Roshni stood silent, still in shock
"Look Roshni, don't worry. Mein hoon nah."
Holding her hand. .
"There's nothing to worry about. He's married and so are you. He wouldn't dare..."
"Sonu, why is this happening. First Sid now
Dev"
She closed her eyes
"My past will never let me go..."
Soniya breathed in heavily.
"Look Roshni, you need to snap out of this
Don't allow Dev to play with your mind..."
Holding her hand softly in hers she continued.
"You need to show Dev that you are happily
married and that you love Sidharth very much. Sidharth is a very influential man.
Dev wouldn't dare cross paths with him".
Soniya tried her best to think logically, and took Roshni into a hug.
"But Sonu..." Roshni said hugging her tight
"I'm scared...I'm really scared".
"Look Roshni, maybe he's changed...maybe he's not the same Dev we knew in college"
"And if he hasn't. ..and he..." her voice trailed off.
"If he hasn't changed then you need to show him that you have...
You are a stronger person now...
It's just a matter of a few days.
Spend as much time with a Sidharth as possible in front of Dev.
He'll get the message. I'm sure.".
"What message Jellybean. What are my girls talking about" asked Rahul as he entered the tent.
Roshni immediately wiped away her tears.
"Nothing Baby. I was just telling Roshni about Aunt DD message...that's it".
"Oh okay... Anyway I bought you your favourite cupcakes. I'd forgotten to give them to you earlier"
Rahul put his hand out to offer a cupcake to Roshni.
"No thank you Rahul, don't feel like right now...Anyway I'll leave you too lovebirds alone...
Making an excuse she made her exit.
Rahul turned to Soniya who was about to take a cupcake. ...
"Jellybean what was all that with Dev??? The way you and Roshni behaved...It was weird"
Soniya unsure what to say, just blabbered. .
"Nothing Baby. It's just Dev was very irritating in college, and you know Roshni, how sensitive she is. She takes everything seriously. No big deal..blah. ..blah. ...blah"
She hugged Rahul praying that he'd believe her
"Whatever you say Jellybean. .."
Rahul hugged her back
"She's definitely hiding something, but kya"

Dev was dangerous for Roshni like no other man, and he petrified her.
The painful memory of that night,
still haunted her. She had come a long way and never wanted to remember it again.
Roshni walked, lost in those thoughts, when a large hand grabbed her and pulled her to the side.
"Hey Roshni" Dev said seductively
Her heart raced at a tremendous speed. She stood there looking into his dark eyes, for what felt like an Eternity, was only a few minutes. Her face turned pale.
A smile spread across his face.
"Where are you going Roshni?" He asked sweetly
"Please...Please let me go"
Dev continued to smile at her.
"L..L...leave me... D...D. ..Dev" Roshni begged helplessly.
"How can I leave you Roshni" he whispered in her ear.
Roshni eyebrows furrowed together, and she sniffed, wiping away her tears.
He was now holding her with both hands.
"You don't look happy to see me" his voice had traces of anger..
She closed her eyes frightened. .
"Please leave me alone Dev" Roshni pleaded, her eyes brimming with tears again.
Dev ignored her pleas. ..
"You know I've been thinking about you...ever since that night" tightning his grip on her.
"Your even more beautiful now Roshni"
Roshni swallowed hard. Her heartbeat raced as
she remembered that night.
She trembled at the very thought.
"You are all I think about...and I really want to finish what I started that night" .
She opened her eyes and looked up at him.
His dark wolf eyes pierced through her.
"Leave me. ...leave me alone...".
It took everything she had, all the strength she could muster up, to release herself from his grip and she ran.
Dev watched her and smirked.
"Kahan bhaag ke jao gi Roshni..."

Roshni ran as fast as she could.
Not paying attention to where she was going, she ran straight into Sidharth arms.
She looked into his eyes for a moment, then
suddenly hugged him tightly, trembling and frightened.
She buried her head in his shoulders.
Sidharth instantly held her back.
"Sid--arr---thhh" her voice cracking up.
At that moment she needed him to hold her. She needed his arms around her. She wanted to feel safe.
She didn't know why, but she felt safe, in his protective arms.
Sidharth heart pounded hard seeing Roshni like this. He held her close, and kissed her hair.
"Roshni...Roshni. ..kya hua. ..you okay Baby??"
He said stroking her hair gently, trying to comfort her.
Roshni remained silent, and continued to hug him, as if her life depended on it.
It was if time had stood still. Both were lost in each other.
It was a while before Sidharth pulled her gently away.
He traced the line of her jaw, with his finger.
His featherlight touch seemed to calm Roshni down.
He gazed at her with only love in his eyes
He cupped her face in his hands gently.
"What's the matter Roshni. Since morning you've been behaving strangely. You look tensed. In fact since that Dev came...:
He was unable to complete his sentence, when Roshni took a step back.
"I'm. ..s--s-sorry Sidharth, I shouldn't have hugged you like that" Roshni murmured, looking down, avoiding eye contact
She closed her eyes, stabilising her emotions, before she raised her eyelids and looked back at him.
Sidharth stepped closer and enveloped her hand in his.
"Are you okay. Have you been crying?" He asked with concern.
Roshni collected her emotions and nodded a "yes", blinking crazily before looking up at him with a fake smile.
Sidharth looked in her eyes. He could see she was upset about something.
"You can tell me Roshni...trust me I will never let anything happen to you ever. You don't need to be afraid".
Roshni listened and a smile appeared on her face. She sighed and pulled her hand away.
"Oh really...Trust you Cranky Pants. Your funny you know that".
Looking away, she wiped away a single tear that escaped from her eye and forced a smile again.
"Actually I thought I saw a snake, and got scared. And ahhh...and I shouldn't have hugged you like that. I feel like an idiot".
Sidharth looked at her. She was a bad liar.
Roshni turned to leave, but Sidharth pulled her back. Staking his claim on her.
She breathed heavily, trying to calm her racing heart, as he held her tight against his body. Her feelings always seemed confused, when he was around.
He rested his forehead against hers. Roshni felt her cheeks flush.
"Roshni tell me what's wrong. Why are you so nervous. What are you hiding... tell me..Please trust me...I'll make it better...I promise you".
He waited a while, before she responded.
"No... No... I'm not...nervous nor am I hiding anything" Roshni spoke without looking him in the eye.
She closed her eyes, willing control back into her body.
When she opened them again he was watching her, with a faint smile.
"I'll find out Roshni..."
"There's nothing to find out. Now let me go " she said strictly.
"Your always looking for a bahana to hold me" she said trying to evade the topic.
"I don't need a bahaana to touch you Baby. I
have legal rights remember" he said winking.
"And this time Baby it was you who came running into my arms. You can't live without me either nah" said Sid teasing her.
She smiled sarcastically and ducked out from under his arms.
"Hoye...oye Baby, Kahan jaha rahi Ho tum"
He folded his arms, locking his dark brown eyes on hers
Roshni simply rolled her eyes
"I'm not your Baby okay"
Sidharth smiled slightly
"Of course your my Baby..."
After a moments pause
"I'm letting you go for now Baby...but you know I'm addicted to you...will be needing another hug soon".
She shook her head and walked away.
Sid watched her retreating figure.
His smile slowly began to fade away
"If I ever find out that Dev is the reason for your tears...I'll kill him Roshni. ..I'll kill him". Sidharth said clenching his wrists.
From a distance Dev had been watching...
"How dare she let anyone touch her...How dare she she do this to me!!..."
wow superb updates!l really loved the way Sid confesses his love for Roshni in front of Soniya! l mean each n every part of the story is amazing but this one ! best you know! if u guys were the show writers then we won't loose sidni :-(btw as usual both of you (chejju n shab) rock. l love both of u ,u guys are just amazing!!! :-)Impatiently waiting for Dev's suspense to reveal in next update!!! :-)so please update sooon!!!!
